Position open to help write history of Illyriad

does it have to be a specific faction? I've been writing a broader work focusing on the history of Illyriad between the origin myth and the current day

Greeting Illyrians, I am Gromsh, content develloper at Illyriad. I have worked with the team helping to build, among other things, the backstory and purpose of the individual factions.
Since the rest of the team is insanely busy coding all of the good stuff comming your way even as we speak, and in the future, I'm left without someone to bounce ideas off of and work together with to create the story, history and mythos of Illyria. So in short I need one, max two, to fill the position(s) as content advisor(s) to me.

Before I tell you the perticulars of what we will do and how I will choose you, let me tell you something about the position:
It is a volounteer position so you will not recieve pay for your work, you will not get insider information on gamemechanics or get help should you get into trouble in the game. I do not my self recieve pay for my work.
What you will get is the chance to work on a MMO from the inside, you will be able to test your writing skills and see if you can deliver on a deadline, and you will get your name on the public list of those who have helped devellop Illyriad and if you work with us for a time you will also be able to get a refferance from Illyriad should you want one when looking for work.
There is a very fair agreement which you have to agree to with Illyriad to start this work (which you will get sent to you should you be chosen, we can also help explain it), and my choice of accepting you is with the understanding that Illyriad has to sign off on you as well.

What the work entails:
You will be helping me bounce ideas around and formulating the litterary content of Illyriad, such as Mythos and history among many other things. You will give me input on what I have written and I will take what you have come up with and talk to you about how it can be implemented. It will be a teamwork effort with me as the first among equals. (that was for you history buffs)
You will need to have the time to work on this reguraly, not every day but at least a few times a week and you must be able to speak relatively good english.

Now then! With that out of the way, here is the "competition":

You must send me a Forum mail containing a minimum of 5.000 words, max 10.000, on any NPC faction (not alliance) in the game with a basis in what has already been written on both the faction you choose and the factions which interact with it. IE. you can't write that Crimson Skulls and Pax Orcana are the best of friends no matter how well you write about the Crimson Skulls and how accurate it is concerning their lore. You choose how and what you write. If its a first person account. A History account from the royal historian. Or something else entirely.
The only advise I can give you is this:
Show your writing skills, show your creativity, show how you can base a story in someone elses work and make it your own, but most of all, show how you can pull on all you know about as much as possible and draw it into you work. Good spelling is not neccesarily a must as that can be cleaned up, but I must understand what you mean.

Applications will be recieved untill tuesday 11th october at 24.00 server time and you will be notified wether or not you have been chosen at saturday 15th october at the latest.
Depending on the number of replies the latter date may be pushed, if it does I will notify about it here.

Before I let you write away I would like to remind you of one last thing:
There will be a lot of applications and as all writing is subjective I can not tell you exactly what I'm looking for. It will be like threading a needle. So don't take a rejection as a defeat or as I'm saying that your work isn't good. Understand that there will be several applications and that I can only choose a maximum of two and that I will make that choice on several factors, not just if the writing is good or not.
