My neer-do-wells live outside of the walls, and I don't feed them, so still no food casts

Plenty of people live in my walls...the gambling addicts and tradesmen especially. They're always around for the chariot races taking place in along the wall tops, so they curl up in the less-guarded secondary halls or buy mid-level apartments. Horse traders, merchants, and race officials often take the nicer tower apartments.

Hi Lynce, You're right that there is a 1:1 relationship between food consumption and population. However, the food consumption number for each building is the total - not the increase. So, for example, if you take a building that currently consumes 20 food (and gives you 20 population) and then you upgrade that building by a level so that it consumes 30 food (and gives you 30 population) then you have a net gain of 10 population, not 30. If you want to double check, your Town Summary page breaks down the precise components of your food consumption (population) by building by level. Regards, SC |

I thought that the relationship between the food consumption in each building matched the population increased, but noticed that my population increase does not match. I upgrade a building with 30 p/h food consumption but the city population only increased 10.... it is because i have more than one city?
