ok, I have the Blackberry Playbook, and although its possible to play illyriad on it, its not easy.
This led me to have a think about possible solutions to this conundrum.
My first thought was, "what do i actually do, when playing the game on my BBPB? most of it is chatting in AC & GC, and upgrading my res, buildings and armies, very rarely do i do anything out on the map or that is integral to the actual game play.
so what's the answer, firstly it was buy a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, but thats VERY expensive.
second was, why not suggest a text version of the game allowing key elements to be accessed easily on a portable device.
For example:
rather than the graphical interface, have a list of the buildings or resource spots in ones town.
Then next to that you have the option to upgrade, or in specific circumstances (i.e. spearmaker) build (spears).
I should make this clear, this idea is not designed to replace Illyriad, but to allow people the option of using a text based sollution on their portable device when out and about, just to keep a hand in on their settlements.
again... only an idea, what do we think?
