    Posted: 13 Feb 2026 at 03:14

I am writing to formally petition for the reconsideration of the permanent ban placed on King Sigerius, and to request that he be allowed to return to Illyriad under appropriate conditions.

There is no denying that King Sigerius was one of the most controversial players in Illyriad’s history—but he was also one of the most influential. In my opinion, a permanent ban was excessive. Even a standard ban with the opportunity to restart would have been sufficient, provided that the behavior in question had ceased.

King Sigerius brought life, conflict, investment, and momentum to the game. He contributed heavily to Illyriad’s economy and player engagement through war, diplomacy, and large-scale interaction. I have known him for a long time, and even toward the end of his crash-out period, I had serious disagreements with him. I considered betraying him at one point. For a large number of reasons which almost destroyed my alliance with the war. That's totally off topic. He is aware, forgiven me and obviously it didn't happen. A true friend and actually that shows you more about his character. One of the most loyal people you will ever meet in the game. He was clearly in a difficult place in his life, and context matters.

It is also evident that the developers were dissatisfied with how events unfolded involving SMA and Iron/RE during the war. That is understandable. However, enough time has passed that we should be able to put that chapter behind us and evaluate the broader impact King Sigerius had on Illyriad as a whole which was undeniably positive.

Even if you don't like him you can still respect what he did for the game in a positive light, and pure entertainment.

I respectfully ask the developers to consider lifting the IP ban and allowing King Sigerius to return under strict conditions, even if only after a clear warning or probationary period. A second chance, paired with firm boundaries, would benefit both the game and the community.

All who support this notion please reply below.

I first encountered Siggy when a cornucopia appeared on my island and began attacking my neighbor, jtk310. It quickly became apparent that my sovereign squares were being used in coordination with Sig’s confederation across our alliances, effectively leveraging my territory to gain a strategic advantage in a war I had no involvement in. I took strong exception to this and responded by attacking Sig directly, which sparked an intense personal rivalry in which both of us were determined to defeat the other.

As a result of this conflict, I joined the Roman Empire and played a role in helping to bring the Iron/RE war to its conclusion. When it became evident that our side was prevailing, Sig approached us to negotiate terms. The terms were fair and mutually agreed upon. To his credit, Sig honored those terms, and what began as a bitter feud gradually evolved into mutual respect and eventually an alliance.

Sig approached the game with the intent to engage others and generate meaningful interaction. His playstyle was dynamic and provocative, often compelling those around him to take action. In many ways, that energy was a necessary counterbalance to what can otherwise become predictable and stagnant gameplay. In my view, Illyriad is diminished without that kind of presence.

While I believe the ban was warranted given the circumstances at the time, I also recognize that time passes and people grow. Allowing him the opportunity to return under clearly defined expectations could benefit the community and potentially encourage long-standing players to reengage with the game.

Would you like a cookie with that?

This isn't negotiable If you are asking to unban Sig I have every reason to petition for unbanning Danger Russ.

You can't change the rules just because you are bored

I, like some other players, saw him as moderators, hired by the development team. I don't know the reason for his punishment, so I will refrain from both support and criticism. If it were up to me, I would not allow the return of punished players, nor would I enable them in any way, especially if it was about insults, hate speech or multi-accounting.

Strong words from someone who made a performative post after trying to make a deal with an alliance he was fighting mid war to make him move to Kal T where you would then you raze him and his alliance out of the game.

Not sure why you made this after I called you out. Now you're in Silly's alt's dms saying that we're clueless noobs or smth ? Pshh, snake of illy.

Ps - he should stay banned after everything he did. He had enough chances.

That's what happens when you get drunk and almost get people who are supposed to be allied with dragged into a inevitable death in a war. People throw you under the bus. Months of diplomacy and planning out a confederation with people takes a lot of work and he listened to nobody.

Sigerius seem like a bad guy irl but he certainly screwed many of us over. I already said why clearly I think he added much entertainment to the game. People should really stop messaging me if they don't like what I have to say.

Lets not forget the constantly leaking of his own plans and others to random spies. Just a bunch of annoying stuff not everyone wanted to go out with a bang randomly all the time and that's why him and Roman Empire are not there anymore plus Jah and all that are still left here were forced to move north. All could have been avoided.

Doesn't excuse you from trying to do the lowest thing possible to someone who considered you a friend. You also spammed him on other platforms about being sorry about what you did but I suppose that was all about trying to save face until I flagged you up for making inappropriate jokes about Eagle in AC.
From there you passed on smth someone in chill said about Vortx and removed us all from your friends lists on the game and discord, you blocked me too because I cannot even dm you ? And new confeds appeared :P

Anyways, there is no fixing your behaviour because everyone seems to get into some situation and another party always gets half truths passed to them like both with coin and yarr, then vortx.

Glad this happened now and not months or years down the line in a war. Moral of the story, never trust Toki. Don't know why someone in chill did.

I am glad too because I didnt know you were a weird little noob with nothing better to do in your life. All of those you do and say about people behind the scenes doesn't get you very much trust either. Good luck trying to make yourself look good.

We all know you have nothing better to do looser keep it up.

Reverting to insults rather than any explanation for your actions is telling. I simply dislike weird behaviour and calling that out is not being a "looser" or a "weird little noob with nothing better to do in your life". We should end this here instead of attempting to derive this into being petty.
