As I stated in Global, I do not consider myself a vet or a newb or any other sort of label. That is up to others to slap onto me as they wish - either way having an artificial label will not change who I am or how I play the game. Nor will it change how I approach/treat others in the game.

Well we use the labels to generalise I suppose, and the precision requirement can sometimes be a little loose because people apply to these labels diverging value, ex. a vet = a very war-experienced player or vet= An experienced player with a long history in Illyriad or vet= A player with a certain population.
funny thing about labels are, I have only ever used the expressions newb and vet, but never anything in between (which sparked this thread I believe), and the two labels are really just adjectives describing my perspective on someone, hinting "small" diminutive and "big" Magnified, nothing more.
With that in mind it is hard to see how I would use the "mid" label for anything practically, other than say: "Hey its that Tallica dude, he's a real mid player".
Seems deprived of meaning to me somehow.
my 2 cents.

It shouldn't, but it sure does remind me of High School though and the propensity to put labels on people.

I'm the loner of the group then if we're doing it like High School. But seriously, it doesn't matter, I'm a Veteran, been here since June and carry the memories of what Illy used to be, yet im in the shell of a newb. What do we call that, a hybrid?
