Over a week and all we've got is a "reply Coming Soon(TM)". Life happens and you dont have to respond to everything right away, but if you're going to roll something out youve gotta be available to respond (or if something IRL came up just let us know that)...as it is this shows that either A) My fears about the steps and features not being thoroughly ran across a wide base of players and ideas. or B) It gets implemented in Summer of 2024 8 days and NO feedback? I did suggest something similar a while ago. A system where a nobody you were at war with could see your buy/sell orders while those with a NAP got a small discount and a CONFED got a bigger discount. Tens

At this time alliances are limited to confed, NAP, war, or no relationship with each other. Could this be modified similar to alliance and individuals in their standings with the NPC factions? The NPC factions have numeric ratings, positive or negative, with each other, a similar mechanism could also be adapted between player alliances?
There could be benefits associated with the standings. For example, a higher rating of favorability will allow for harvesters to be protected by armies from another alliance. Alliances could also work together on an operation or city relocation without having to declare a temporary confed or NAP for all to see in the general chat. Ultimately, the inter-alliance ranking would provide for a micro-management of those activities between players as being friendly or hostile. Prohibit buying/selling with another alliance in a hub, anyone? |

Official Illyriad Discord Server would be very welcomed as Eowan points out.
I see a few hiccups with it but all in all it could work very well. Our community could help piece it together and it would be a great platform for storing FAQ's, Guides, Faction Play Announcements. The Slack platform is also great so if you want to keep it there that works too, we just need more people to join up really. Looking forward to seeing how things roll out and congrats again, JJ. |
