Today is Memorial day in the United States, the day upon which we remember the fallen soldiers, whom gave their lives to make this country what it is today.  From the Colonial rebels, that founded our great country, to the modern day soldiers battling terror in the world. Thanks to the brave men in women, we remain safe and strong.  I can not thank you guys enough for what you have done, God Bless.

Mickey, imo, this is tasteless in the extreme. This day is the same as Remembrance Day in the UK. It is about honoring soldiers who lost their lives in wars past and present. Including many wars, such as World War 2, that I'm sure you thought was worthwhile fighting. It's about the soldiers. They don't decide where to fight, they get told to do so and they go and put their lives on the line.

To hijack a perfectly noble sentiment thread of thanking people who make sacrifices to defend all of our ways of life is, at its best, the action of a cretin. Go back to whatever vile hole you crawled out of with your political grandstanding. This is not a day for politics. Get some respect for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so that scum like you can have the freedom of speech you enjoy abusing.

I agree with the sentiment of honoring the sacrificies soldiers have made - regardless of what war they were in or which country they were from.

I don't agree with self-affirmation through creation of a thread about it though.
