Topic: Meet and greet! Posted: 25 Feb 2010 at 03:11 |
Howdy fellow friends and foes on the UK1 server! I think every new community needs a meet and greet thread where everyone can get the feeling of the community's members to really hit it off well and get a thriving community (which we all want, whether it's trash talk or honoring someone) . IRL:I'm a 23 year old multi-gamer from Sweden. I'm doing Religious Studies, drink beer and listen to metal \m/ when I'm not humping my GF that lives in London. Gaming: Been a gamer ever since I got the Mega Drive around 91, played almost any big title from Valve and Blizzard, started doing mmos when WoW came, folllowed some guild friends over to EVE a year ago and enjoys it still. On the Alliance forum I saw a link to this game, I'll see if I get stuck or wonders away as I did in Travian after a month or so. I liked it, but the school where I worked blocked it so got bored, got other games I can play at home really ^_^ See you on the battlefield or when my Goblin Cutpurse have cleaned up your Storehouse! o/

Hi trollerii,
I'm also a new player here as well - think everyone is!
I'm in the UK (London) and play browser-based games while at work (lucky me, they don't really have much outgoing firewalling! :)
I'm looking forward to seeing where this game goes - the number of techs and strategies seems pretty awesome - but at the moment I'm really missing having any guides to what I should be concentrating on and what would benefit me the most at this point. Though I guess they do describe the game as a sandbox, and because it's brand new noone's wrtten a strat guide yet! I just like knowing my options and what they might mean before I go too far down any route.
Gues it's different from travian / tribalwars in that there seem to be a *whole* lot more things you can do. Personally I'm excited about assassination and blockading (stealing other people's trades, it seems!). Though I'm not sure how the blockade thing will work - how do you know if someone is trading? Is it shown anywhere, or do your troops just sit outside a city and occasionally you get a caravan?
Anyway, was wondering if anyone is setting up an alliance soon as I might be interested in joining!

Hi all,
I'm also knew in this game. From what i've seen i think it's gonne be quite nice, though wondering if gamespeed isn't very slow when the game continues. Still looking to get the most effective way to play this (for now just getting resources is a day job but will be able to do more soon i guess) . Tip for other newbie's. Upgrade food is priority 1 when u start building your city. You need a lot more upgrades on food as the other resources.
Also kinda curious what happens when the newbieprotection disapears. It's impossible to build a strong city in the given time, so might get problematic to even start this thing, but we'll see.
If other people have good tips plz share :)
Grtz,
Braque

I'm Lene, 17 from Norway and I just started this whole online gaming thing, so I hope you boys will be gentle on me as i'm a virgin lol!
I'm really looking forward to cooperate with you all though this game seems really hard and confusing, I sure do wish I had some more resources :( If you want to send me a gift just post it to 17 -6 *wink wink tihi*
See you among the caravans and quests boys.
