this is not an easy discovery ... it has to be earned ...

I know of a player that has all 16 crafting buildings in one town, they didn't get any discovery.

innovations and sparks of genius seem like things that happen in a library, college, or mad scientist laboratory. Any educational facilities in Elgea?

If the discriptions for these things do hold clues, then this one is pretty vague...
"a series of compromises, subtle innovations" - could refer to how you have to demolish and rebuild the weapon crafting buildings perhaps. "and tiny sparks of genius" - think I am lacking there... ![]() |

I am guessing 'do not' should not have been in that sentence.
Here is how you can use 'do not' properly... Do not use Google translate, as it sucks. jkEdited by Darkwords - 25 Jan 2013 at 13:05 |

I wonder if some crafting discoveries do not require a city that contains all the crafting buildings.
Does anyone have such a city?

As GM TC has stated the Master Crafted Chainmail is discoverable but we do not know how to do this, nor where to start.
this is a thread so that we Humans can help each other to do this Humble Task for the Good of Humankind ... so where do you think that we could start ?? the description is: Humans may not have the artistic flare of the Elves, nor the affinity with metals enjoyed by Dwarven smiths, but they are supremely pragmatic. There seems no grand plan to this armour. It is, instead, a series of compromises, subtle innovations and tiny sparks of genius, which makes for some of the most effective (if ugly) chainmail in Illyria. any one have any ideas ...
