Going back to the OP, I also find it a bit frustrating having to wait two weeks before being able to try out hubs, but maybe it's just a way for the devs to prevent being overwhelmed by everyone rushing there at the same time.

Almost wouldn't mind if anything if the tax that we have goes towards van use of the hubs itself. We provide the materials at the hub with our vans and then after order is completed the shipment out from the hub is done from the hub.

You don't have to leave the caravans at the hub.  The buyer's caravans will carry the goods away from the hub, so if you are the seller, you get your caravans back.  If you are the buyer, then your caravans are tied up.  It's basically the opposite of the "old" market where the buyer only used one caravan and the seller used as many as the resources required.

100 buy/sell orders (with research)
+100% carry capacity to caravans (420k with 70 3k vans)

2nd lvl 20 trade office in a city would give
-2500 wood/hr, -600 clay/hr, -1334 stone/hr
50 buy/sell orders (with research) (150 total)
+50% carry capacity to caravans (525k total capacity with 70 3k vans)

This would give your trade city an added perk for being a trade focused town

It would make it a lot more useful though I would prefer it to go the route of more vans though ultimately the number of resouces in both examples would be the same but rather you would have either *2 or *2.5 the number of vans. It gives the ability to do smaller trades more easily as compared to setting the new standard for a lot to be either 6k or 7.5k.

Ya I like the fact it has unlimited storage though the main problem that comes up is as you stated... now instead of unlimited gold that everyone has already they can now get as many resources as they would like over time. I think I am already at 2 mil of each basic resource just from the resources going red and sending surplus there.

Still main problem is that if I were to sell said resources I need to also have my vans there which I am still limited by 70 per town and soon as I send them to the hub its going to tie up my vans as it did before.

If you have a single trader in a hub you can send all your vans from all your cities to it with just the "Faction Markets" research then ship goods to one of your towns using all of your vans (in 70 van lots). So if you had 9 cities you can move things in a volume of 9x70 or a baggage train of 630 vans for 1.89M goods a go - that seems like a higher limit.

So the idea is to send all of my stuff to a hub which is a little bit of a travel away... (few hrs) just to get all the vans together to send it back (few more hrs) to get the same amount of tossing it between cities as I do currently?

Surely the goal of the hubs were to make things a tad more efficient but I don't really think that is my definition of efficient. Plus in addition to that sending all my vans over there also makes any quick trades between towns not able to happen either... Unless your like JJ and have a city right next to a hub I imagine using my vans in that way does more harm than good overall.
