The battlefield is a scene of constant chaos. The winner will be the one who controls that chaos, both his own and the enemies.

Sweet.
Is that generated from the XML data? If so I don't suppose you'd do one for other regions? Beats my crappy excel one with coloured blocks for rivers. |

Sadly I had to actually go and right click, view page source on the actual map then go down to where they had the tile info and grab each one separately so they are in 92 big arrays(1 for each column) within the actual program itself. If there is an easier way to get what each tiles terrain id is then I can whip up a map easily now that its this far. You just need to provide what the terrain id is for each tile and I can do it*. Also for those interest Here is all of the in game tiles I could find. *I reserve the right to not do it if I don't feel like it. Edited by Akhier - 20 Oct 2010 at 03:58 |

You can grab all the game map data, updated daily basis I think, in XML format provided by the game Devs.
Right Click Here People, you don't wanna click that link, right click and "save as" if you wanna grab the XML file, I don't recommend trying to load it in your browser :-) edit Don't do it, don't click that link... what's that? You already clicked it? Errm if you can read this then disconnect 'puter form the internet, close browser, reopen browser, close tab with the XML link, reconnect internet, refresh all tabs, next time when someone says don't click something... don't click it. though nice to know that is not what is needed because it is only info on the towns and where they are. what I would need is the terrain id for all the tiles you wanted mapped not just from where a town is located. Atleast thats what it looked like to me. If it really contains the data for EVERY tile in the game then I could technically with a little work make a map of the whole game world though it may take forever to load.

Yes it will be and like I said if you provide the data I can probably make something of it, just do not expect instant results.

That's so cool. I'm almost tempted to ask how it's done but I don't think I'd understand the explanation, let alone be able to attempt to make something like that.
