Q&S is not elf only, it recruits newbie elves only. There's a slight but subtle difference which may not be communicated effectively. Anyone can join and feed the elflings but the alliance itself was designed to give specialist elven advice to new players of that race. I hope that clarifies the matter.

If you kindly read the first line, you would had refrained from posting that comment. And reading Q&S alliance profile, it does say it is an elf-only training alliance.. if there's 2 dwarves and a orc there now, not my problem... |

When I browse the alliance list I did not think that unexpected races might be alts… But I'm open-minded and have a good nature. I understand and encourage the slavery of some inferior but respectful people (deviant races must be eradicated).
Maybe should I look for an alliance governed by elves for the sake of the elven race? Anyway, Q&S is a training alliance and a short term choice. (please note IRL I'm not racist in any way − I actually think that dwarves, orcs and even humans are normal people. Ugly but normal) Thanks! |

Bellimbusto,
"Quenya and Sindari" is an elf alliance (http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/Alliance/Alliance/820) Arctic55 pointed out that there are other races there, but they are mostly alts of elves that help run the alliance. ~Vanerin

Many thanks for your answers.
You might have understood I'm looking for such an alliance for role-play (sort of), not for efficiency. I'm disappointed, but I think I might make an attempt, despite it'd be bound to fail sooner or later. Any volunteer? (I'm still an unknown noob) What kind of RP alliance does live in Illy? |

Dwarven Druids is another single-race alliance. I think Skullcrushers Horde is all-orc except for the alt of one of the orc players, which is human.

To my knowledge, there has only been one alliance that advocated for a policy of racial war. That alliance (which was human-centric) has since changed its stance. Those alliances that have been single-race alliances have, at least publicly, advocated for coexistence and forged strong diplomatic ties with mixed-race or single-race alliances of other races -- the Dark Star league comes to mind.
Most alliances in Illyriad are mixed race. Having a mix of races in an alliance allows flexibility in recruitment of players, which is one of the most significant factors in keeping alliances going, particularly in periods when there is a drought of new players. Mixed-race alliances also have an advantage militarily, since this allows players of each race to focus to one degree or another on the stronger units in their arsenal. Elves may make proportionally more bows, humans more cavalry, dwarves more infantry, orcs more spears, without having the same risks that for example an all-dwarf primarily infantry-focused alliance might have. (Difficulty fighting in mountains or plains is one challenge that is faced by an all-dwarf alliance, for example, given that infantry take a significant penalty on mountains and plains and dwarven cavalry is ... well, they are better off carrying the horses.) Because most Illy alliances are mixed race, an alliance advocating for racial extermination, in addition to the challenges noted, would likely find it difficult to create the strong diplomatic ties that are often necessary for success. Of course, some alliances for reasons of realpolitik might embrace the alliance while holding their noses with respect to the policies advocated. All told it would be an interesting experiment. I look forward to seeing how it works out.

Lol, of you consider an alliance consisting of 8 Elfs, 2 Dwarfs, and an orc, an Elf-only alliance. |

Don't know of any Elf or hummie alliances, Black Skull Horde was the main ork only alliance which is now all but dead. The last surviving alliance of this kind, which I know of is the Dwarven Lords.
