A fourth square has recently been corrupted! Keep it up... even if we don't really know what we can do about it.

The 200k for a new square seem to be a very good guess, we have 193,5k attack since the 3rd square and still not a new one, have send 5,4k to get shortly before 200k to see if it is really exactly 200k or a little bit less/more.

The armies are on their way and will land in the next days, will take the commander-bonus into consideration, as it is almost 10k troops it should give us some new tiles.

Is it just me or does the older one south to the heart is looking darker now? Maybe it is about to disappear... We have a date for the 3rd one, so we may be able to estimate how long a tentakled square lasts...

Ok, so we really just need to find the most cost-effective way to feed Audrey, and maybe a way to measure results to verify 200k/square. Are we sure she is a certain number of squares large? Also, is it definitely just feeding her, or is it any death on the map?

Did anyone measure how long Audrey is active?

found it on page 45 by sunstorm:

"Ok, here is a quick update.  (^_^)

First, I would like to say thank you to the Dev's who (it would seem) lowered the HoC's health enough to make a splash on the April 1st attack.  I know I appreciated this as well as the community!

Now for the information I have gathered from my recent attacks...  Sending 3k T2 Knights produced 1 corrupted square.  (3k knights at an attack of 61 each = 183,000 attack...I am not including any commander or prestige bonuses.)  A second attack of 3k landed as well as 2k more, and only two squares appeared.

Now, I also sent close to 10k T2 dark elves from the far north.  My city diplomacy info tells me that 5k dark elves have an attack of 155,000.  This lines up with the attack information above, since only 1 square appeared after they all landed.

My guess is that each square appears after 200k damage has been done.

I can verify that diplomatic units to add to the corruption.  This all seems to be happening on the amount of damage done to it.  Now, the total number of squares (once it is fully corrupt) is 73.  This means that the total plant needs to take around 14,600,000 attack damage.  WOW.

Basically, we can assume that the community needs to deal about 15 million damage to get the heart beating!!!

There must be something super special about the tentacles to merit all this.  If only we knew what that was so we could justify sending so many troops to their death....  *sigh*"

I definitely wasn't SC - it was a player.  Also SC/Devs would never give away mystery info like that - it's up to us to discover it.

I agree with your approach though.

I remember seeing that calculation - it looked legit but not sure if anyone actually tested it to prove it out.
if i'm correct it was in the HoC forum and it was Stormcrow
if i'm correct it was based on tiles grow and units sent. i remember that if Stormcrow was correct that it's based on ATK, T1 scouts are the best cost/efficient unit as they're quite cheap (and don't take long to make) and have a powerful attacks (15) if what counts is number they're also the best choice (unless u can make kobolds :P who are more expensive but faster to make, yet less attack)

in order to determinate what's the factor to make HoC grow i would suggest asking every member NOT to send anything at HoC for X time (to allow clean tests) and send small groups up to get HoC make a new square. then send some more small amounts to get a nice estimation of how many of the Y troops one would need to make it grow. when repeating the process with a Z unit a pattern would probably emerge... (my thinking :P)

Perhaps we should get some posters printed, and send them to struggling players' barracks: "Audrey needs YOU!"
