This report is compiled as of midnight server, Jan 28.
18 Alliances on the leaderboard.
No changes in the top 5.
2,828,943 casualties
About 146K new casualties.
 
At the Northwest flag:
Curse reinforced with 18 armies.
 
At the North Flag:
When we left the North flag yesterday, Curse was making a hard push to knock Peace off this flag.  Peace was barely hanging on the flag.  28 armies arrived today.
 
15 Curse armies arrived, but these armies were much smaller than yesterday's, causing 9,374 casualties.  Peace reinforced with 13 armies and retained control of the flag for the entire day.
 
At the East Flag:
GOON has strengthened its hold here.  3 Curse armies arrived, as well as 1 VIC, and 1 CW army.
 
At the SE flag:
VIC continues to hold as several players smash armies into this stronghold to get Commander XP, causing 44,347 casualties.  3 Dlord, 6 H?, and 4 VIC armies arrived today.
 
At the W flag:
When we left the West flag on Jan 27 it was held by 0-0.  128 armies arrived today.
 
Armies arriving today:
 
Possession changes (there is a lot of action here and I am certain that there are possession changes that I could not identify):
0-0 => Peace
Peace => unoccupied (RES clearing it)
Unoccupied => GOON
GOON => Curse
Curse => GOON
GOON => Curse

At the end of the day, Peace held this flag!
 
3 days remain in the tourney.  Peace opened its lead over Curse for the #2 Overall to 5 days, 8 hours.  I think Curse has run out of steam.  Curse played a bold hand in their effort to move to #2 and nearly grabbed the North flag from Peace.  Curse and Peace should be applauded for their competitive spirit!  Beer
 
Most likely, the last 3 days will be players, like me, smashing armies into flags to earn XP and Attack points.
 
I think, and I have heard this from so many players, that this tournament has been the most fun in Illy we have ever had.  I commend the Devs for giving us this tourney, and I thank all the participants for the great entertainment this tourney has provided to me. Star
