Pretty much wrong... there are 203.2 total possession days remaning (with only 44.8 passed) in this tournament as of right now, imo it can still go any way, especially given there are several big alliances that didn't make an appearance while everyone else is killing off their troops.

You guys have a lead of 12 days total, have taken minimal losses at -500|-500 because people assume there's no way they could take it and despite VIC throwing everything at you you still haven't lost 0|-500 and have barely lost any time at 500|500. That means one of these top alliances would either need to dislodge you guys from the flags and keep you off them for a while to gain the lead or they would need to capture more than 3 flags and hold them until they passed you. I'm not saying it can't happen but given that people have the mind set that you guys can't be beaten and given that you have a fairly large lead I think it'd be very tough. Even if someone got you guys off the flags for a couple days you'd still have a lot of breathing room to rebuild and retake them.

True we got an early lead.
But we're only just 1/6th through the tourney at the moment. For example only today we had [peace] make their first major appearence where they held 3 flags for several hours, and will no doubt be reinforcing them, we also had CrowB make their first entry on the leaderboard.
It ain't over yet... infact I hope it's barely started. ;)
Besides even when we do find an overall winner I get the feeling competition for the #2 and #3 spots is gonna be very tough.

Fladrin,
A couple of observations re: your attack at the east flag above:
1) Hey! Dlord attacked another flag. I don't recall seeing much Dlord activity away from the southeast flag.
2) GOON had 13,407 defending the flag. You attacked with 2,000 and caused GOON 5,125 casualties. This is an outstanding loss ratio at over 2.5 defenders killed for each attacker killed. This compares very favorably to the last battle I analyzied which had a loss ratio of 1.45 defenders killed for each attacker killed. 2 more armies just like this attacker and Dlord would have taken the flag from GOON. |
Actually it was the 3rd wave within a few hours. first two being 1700 or so Runeriders. All in all I lost 5600 Runeriders and killed 14 K defenders. The same flag that flipper hit a day after and causing GOONs to loose it soon after.

Bart is this supposed to be a joke (cuz I don't see any smileys or lol's)?
Or is this a threat that H? intends to siege me?

It's on our 'to do list'... Right after "find a cure for cancer" and "launch a manned mission to Mars"

I
cannot quite find motivation to dissuade you from this train of
thought. I must therefore conclude that Harmless is indeed unbeatable
and no one should try directly opposing us, for their own sake.
My condolences.

I nominate Createure for the mission to Mars. Be sure to stock a couple candy bars in case you get hungry. And you know what would be the perfect candy bar for a mission to Mars? Toblerone.

Please excuse me if I see no humor of discussions of H? sieges of my cities.
Been there, done that. Been promised a new beginning. Had that promise breached once. Trying again.
And then I see H? NAP'd with VIC and attacking VIC cities...
Agreements have meaning to me.
No humor in this idea for me at all, fellas. None at all.

I did find it a little amusing that the retaliatory attacks on my cities have been (so far) limited to the one city too small and young to be participating meaningfully in this tourney. :P
I find it odd that, The_Dude, that you seem to have taken this much more personally than VIC themselves. And I will reiterate that our brief flirtation with the idea of using assassins and scouts to influence the effectiveness of our direct competitors has passed and is now discontinued.
Military attacks or sieges were never considered, even though our offensive forces are largely still idle and awaiting more appropriate opportunity for deployment.
