Killing animals. Armour worth it???

   Crafted equipment is quite effective for city defense, since the drop rate for friendly units inside your walls is 100%. 

In the field, I only equip commanders.

	Hi, I've been actively killing animals, and I only use crafted equiptment for commanders. However, I believe that it could be useful to use some equipment on the troops especially depending on the troops you are using and the price. (I also did some analysis on this long ago). As it has already been said, I would recomend you to use elite divisions when possible. Then, if you are using t2 cavalry, or even t1 cavalry it may be cost-efficient to use boar spears. On the other hand, if you are using spear units, crafted equipment for troops is clearly not cost-efficient. The final decision depends on how much would cost you to have a boar spear and for how much you could sell it. Same applies for the over-padded armour, but as it is more expensive than the boar spears my estimations showed that it was not-efficient to use it. But I may have to redo my estimations as prices have been decreasing. Something similar happens when fighting other armies. The "right" crafted equipment is usefull (cost-efficient) for commanders, but I believe that for troops, even in elite divisions is not cost-efficient. You get nice kill ratios, but at the cost of gold that could be used for other things. The only cost-efficient use of crafted equipment use for troops even at a large scale (not elite divisions) is when defending your city, because all dropped equipment is recovered afterwards. Finally, I used "right" equipment on purpose because I found people using all kinds of crafted equipment even if the bonus was negative. TH

	Tupu, one of the top 10 players in Attack and top 50 in Defense, did an experiment on this. He found, that when battling, attacking with elite divisions of cavalry equipped with gear (especially SilverSteel) can greatly increase your kill/death ratio. But, he said it usually comes with the price of the gear you lost. If gear drop even lower in price, it may eventually become more of an advantage to equip elite squads. But until then, your going to end up sucking up the cost of the lost gear. And I normally only equip gear to commanders.

	I only equip commanders when I'm hunting, so I don't lose the equipment. I don't think it's worth using equipment for hunting. You can use elite divisions to increase the effects of the commander's armor (and other skills) even more.

	Hi folks, I wonder if you could give me your thoughts on this question. I have built an army just to kill animals to gather their hides and parts. I have equipped them with Boar spears, over-padded chain and over-padded armour. My question is this : Is the armour and spears worth having to kill animals? I ask this because when I lose some of my soldiers, killed by the animals then I also lose some of the crafted armour. I scavenge it using my Cotters but some of them gets lost and they have to be replaced. I`m wondering if it`s not just better to send an army unarmed to kill animals so that only the soldiers need to be replaced and not the crafted weapons/armour. That way replacing loses would be cheaper and quicker. I hope that my question is clear and that I explained it properly and I look forward to hearing any thoughts that you might have.
