Howdy all,
As the new Community Manager, one of the first projects I wanted to kick off is a repeating livestream to show off Illy and to become a helpful link for newbies and vets. What is a livestream? Think of it as a live TV show, but with video games and commentary. If you would like to see many examples, head over to www.twitch.tv and check some out! Our channel will be hosted at: http://www.twitch.tv/luna_illyriad ...if you want to join the chatroom during the stream, you need to sign up for a basic Twitch account. So, what will our livestream be used for? 1) Interviews: I would like to interview players, experts, newbies and (possibly) devs, to discuss the finer points of Illyriad. 2) Tips/Tricks: It's easy to stream the game and to give advice that is taken from the community. 3) Promotion: Twitch is a massive community and that means people might pop in to view a stream of Illy, think it looks cool and go to the site to play! (New players!) 4) Q&As: A questions-and-answer session would be great, and we'll likely stick to the topic of game mechanics or playstyles. For right now, I plan to host the first one on Monday on the 14th of April at 2:00 PM EDT, 6:00 PM GMT. That gives us a nice, neutral time as a courtesy to our international audience. If we need to tweak the times/day we can do that. I would like to repeat the livestream once per month, but as with all things in game development I will not commit to a schedule until I have a few under my belt. If you would like to be part of the stream or know someone who would, IGM me or send me a note at community@illyriad.co.uk and let me know. I already have a few candidates to contact, but I am always open to more! Players who want to participate will need a Skype account, a decent microphone and possibly a webcam (we might use cams later on.) Because this is the first stream, we will keep it light and the topic will be "Newbie Tips." If you have any questions, let me know! See you then! Please take a moment to review this thread where the Devs started to interact and solicit opinion from the community. Unfortunately, shortly afterwards they went silent on this issue and seem to have forgotten all about it and our input. A yes or no answer would be most welcome to at least put the issue to rest.

Petition #4422, I just requested to be closed but your response raises a new question regarding game mechanics. It is intended in the future that city walls be lowered to 12 as well as all the other plots when the city Exodus's?

I haven't been able to scout or locate an NPC unit of Fully Grown leopards but from petition #4579 the stats are as follows: Fully Grown Leopard: Attack 31 Spear 11 Bow 38 Sword 32 Cavalry 31
Are they really supposed to be that weak vs. Spears? 1/3 the value vs. all other units?

There are large number of NPC spawn squares that appear to be glitched. When you kill the NPC's on that square they will respawn 1-4 clusters of new NPC's within a 1-3 minute window of time. You can prevent this spawn from happening if you occupy the square but as soon as the army moves off the square it starts spawning NPC's anew. Are these squares intentional to keep the NPC populations up in case of over farming? |

The quantity you que up for resource production (spears, beer, bows, etc.) is rarely the quantity you actually produce. Most times you will produce a greater number of items then you initially queued up. I have recorded extremes of 75%( in rare instances) to as much as 312% of the queue produced. I had an google spreadsheet with the various documentation - experiments conducted queuing sets of 10K of each product(5 times), 1000 of each product(10 sets), 100 of each product (10 sets). 10 of each product (100 sets) and 1 of each product (1000 sets) and recording the results. Even with a queue of 1, you would get a skewed result equal to roughly 130% production of queue. |

We have a unit we have no ability to get rid of that is rather costly - Trader. There is no disband option for this unit and you are no longer able to send the unit to faction hubs/squares that used to kill it. This is important especially if you plan on reworking your cities and move your "trading" specialized city to a different city. You are unable to do so at this time. |

It might serve us better if you save many of these questions for a Dev Q&A session. I have none planned at the moment because I am not planning much farther down the line than this first stream. If you want to group a batch of questions and email them to me, cool. We might look at doing one massive AMA-style livestream further down the line. You do not need to post all of your questions here and now, in other words. It's appreciated, but I just don't want you to spend so much time and effort when it will be better served in a post about a Dev stream. GM Rikoo

On the military page the bar graph is displaying the wrong data for cavalry defense. The graph uses the same defense score you have vs. Swords for cavalry defense.
