hey mew mew If you are still looking for an alliance, goonies while not a "training alliance" it does all the things that a proper one does. We are currently recruiting so just contact me or faya (the brigade queen) ingame and we would be happy to have you.

Actually I have been raided already :D I wasn't going to mention it as I figure the person who did it will get snickers and stuff getting to read about it. It was "only" stolen from - tho it was a pretty big punch of the extra resources (books etc) for me I'll live. Ugh I got to take off right when writing this, so I'll continue when I return.

I return!
I did a review on FB for this not just because of the game but because of the majority of the community here.
Of course we're not all Saints but in comparison to a great number of gaming communities it's pretty welcoming, friendly and mature here. I'm used to places where the friendlier people are in such a minority that they get scared to even speak out honestly. I don't like those places, but they're all over the net. It's been pretty decent here, in game chat is actually nice too for the most part instead of giggling morons showing off their newly learned ability to swear :D
While I still haven't joined anything - I'm 95% sure I'm going in a training alliance briefly. I understand that most alliances can train me, but it just seems like a good place to sit in while you get to know people and alliances to find your best fit. They're set up so they don't care that you are leaving them later - so it causes no hard feelings when you do find the place you are moving into permanently :D (Or semi-permanently, depending :P).

\o/ for the community - living up to the high expectations set by massively.com's review.
Glad you're enjoying things Mewmew, welcome to Illyriad, and long may it continue!
Regards,

/me thinks the day the game developers stop welcoming every new player to Illyriad individually will be a sad one for us all... I mean... I know you guys have nothing better to do right? Cos you hardly ever give us any new content or fixes.

Welcome to Illyriad MewMew.
If you find other nearby players disagreeing with you in some way, you should be aware that you can teleport your capital (only once!) to another location. I can personally recommend moving your capital out of the beginners zone and out into the periphery - more peaceful there, and raiders wont bother since they have to make a long trip to reach you. Also you will find more resource deposits on the map since the competition to gather them is significantly smaller.
Feel free to drop me a line ingame and Ill recommend good peripheral alliance options for you.
