Yes ..round n round we go! Without new players there is no cause for vets or for this whole war. (exhibit 'b') > RE: Kari > Received: 30 Sep 2011 19:26 > Original Message: I invited a close friend to play. all the garbage in GC has driven her, and i am sure other newbies as well, away. I tried so hard to tell her how good the game was, how friendly everyone was, how much she would like the building, and cities. and now, she has left the game..says if what is going on in GC has any indications of the game as a whole, it is not for her. she doesnt want stress and drama. she wanted to learn a war game and try one out, and i really thought this one would be the best for her to do that in. Personally i am tending to agree. i dont need the stress either. so sad, i really wanted her to learn the game (from one of my alliance members, a new vet of the future? (if she hangs around!)) EDIT:-
(exhibit 'b' continued)
> Received: 01 Oct 2011 03:06 > Original Message: Kari is no longer on the game. todays crap in gc was unreal from what I am understanding from people getting popped for cursing to all the namecalling and other stuff. Kari hit the abandon account button. she did not believe me that this place can be a good one, that people honestly do care about newbies and want them to learn the game. Her impression was everyone was too busy arguing back and forth to care about anything else. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Sent By: | X [WE] | | Received By: | You | | Date: | 10/1/2011 4:22:54 AM | she will not come back. i know this already. Global word wars are not solving anything, just driving others away. How long do they intend on doing this. All Kari wanted was answers to her questions. She never asked for supplies. She said she even asked people to recall what they had sent she did not want it. but of course that could not be done. She only wanted to try. |
So again, negotiations anybody?

at least shank and others are trying to do understand and clarify what is really up and in hopes that the wars will end and we can all be friends again :)

Thank you to everyone taking part in this thread...
World's End appear to agree with our approach and are taking the same stance in trying to broker a peace settlement. So there are at least two alliances with this approach and I suspect there may be more.
I have sent a personal message to every leader of an alliance involved in the war explaining our approach and encouraging contact - that's 10 or so messages. All but 2 have been read.
To date I have received no mails in response.
I have read the forums, the discussions, the rights and wrongs, justifications, diplomacy or lack thereof etc... from both sides...
... and to date I have received no direct contact... from any member of any alliance directly involved in the war...

That doesn't mean that there aren't discussions going on... Only that parties aren't ready to talk to you (or any other neutrals) yet...
