Is it impossible to contain that conflict in the other 3+ already open threads? Must you people use our position-thread for your bickering?

As the war of armies spread across the Illy map, the war of words will spread across the forums.

There is no avoiding it

I doubt that everyone would agree with you on that, just as I doubt everyone would agree with me. I imagine that this really would be an issue on which the community would be equally divided. Just saying that creature could have been fairer in his description. After all it could have been misconstrued that pos had participated in more direct hostilities such as blights, thieves or aided sieges led by valar.

Just to bring it back to the topic of a statement from our alliance - we would still be interested in hearing from the leaders or senior representatives of any of the alliances concerned in order to discuss and help broker peace. Feel free to message me in the game.

Kind Regards,

Jasche (Foreign Minister - Invictus)

We are generally a peaceful alliance and aim for balance within the continents of Illyriad. To this end we have Non-Aggression Pacts and good relations with a number of alliances who are currently at war with one another.

Rather than taking any moral stance on the war we are prepared to watch from the sidelines but offer any help we can muster in reaching a peaceful conclusion as soon as possible. There are two conditions which would cause us to become directly involved;

1. If either side turns the tide of battle significantly and reasonable peace terms are requested we would expect them to be discussed between parties concerned. We will not condone the eradication of any alliance as this goes against our philosophy of a mixed community. In the event that either side gets a significant upper hand and reasonable peace terms are refused we reserve the option of breaking up siege camps placed by the more powerful side in an attempt to restore peace. We have taken this step as there does not appear to be any final conditions of surrender or victory agreed at this point.

2. We do not believe this war should impact on ANY small players (10k or less), regardless of their affiliation, who are unable to properly defend themselves against the more powerful players currently engaged in the war. If we see this happening, we will come to the support of these smaller players by defending their cities. However, if a smaller player is actively participating in the war we will withhold support.

We would value consistent contact with the leadership of all alliances involved so we can work toward the ultimate goal of peace.

In the meantime if any small members of the warring alliances require refuge we would be happy to hold those members safe within our alliance until the war subsides.

Jasche (Foreign Minister - Invictus)

The first blood being, TD??
This war started out as something completely different to what it has now become.

WE all have opinions and axes to grind.. But I am sure that not one of us is wanting what is happening now.. and that is more than deflated egos!
What is now happening is an Alliance is ready to Crumble .. be it pride or be it the flaw in the game that we call SIEGE!? There are MEMBERS of ILLYRIAD that are losing all that they have built up!

Yes I have had to pick up the pieces of a dead alliance, those of you that remember Cyan will know that it was a hard act to follow.

Forgetting history though... is this game not about the future?
I for one wanted a few changes in the way Valar was operating, But this mob is out of hand...
WE will not be a part of it!

Initially my thoughts were that WE would break any siege that hit DLords or TMOT...
They are, afterall our confederated alliances?
This.. it seems, kumo.. is an act of war?

I disagree! Breaking a siege is an emergency act, because defending in this game just plain does NOT cut the mustard! It takes an alliance to defend from a good siege.. how can ONE alliance possibly defend from many.. and still have troops left over to attack?

Sorry, this is a no win situation.. and despite my "issues" with Valar and what they did to the old Worlds End... This, my friends, is what I call.. opportunistic bullying!

So... negotiations anybody??

RMY (shanks to friends)

PoS attacks H?
H? attacks Pos
PoS cries foul

If you would have sat back i doubt H? would have much to do with you, but you took it upon yourselves to be included in the hostilities. So welcome to the hostilities.

0-0 attacked H? first.  Hence, they drew first-blood.  If 0-0 had stayed at home, H? would have had no casus belli.

Easy-peasy, RMY.
