Armies were intentionally placed where they were likely to be attacked. Reminds me of people in Los Angeles that would throw themselves in front of oncoming traffic to try to collect insurance.

Sub, I think you're confusing different situations.  You would need to ask LeRoux what she's doing with those armies in the area between her city and fromfrak's city, but I can't see that it would be related to the fromfrak/jonazz conflict since it's not anywhere near there.  So far as I know, Le Roux has not made any contact with fromfrak -- fromfrak told me she doesn't even know who Le Roux is, so apparently she has no complaints about interference from that quarter.

With regard to the other situation:

I heard that fromfrak was attacking armies in Ursor that were not involved with the fromfrak/jonazz conflict.  I thought that was a bit disturbing.  Ryelle decided to investigate by placing one of her own armies in the area.  She did consult with Juxwin and jonazz because it was in proximity to their cities.  HUGcr and nCrow have close ties with Druids, so we were concerned about a report of an attack on a Druids army.

Lo and behold, the rumors were true.  Fromfrak indiscriminately ran an army into Ryelle's occupying army, apparently without scouting it.  So other people could be drawn into this conflict by fromfrak's actions.  I suggested to fromfrak that she be more careful in the future.

I also think it's noteworthy that fromfrak had previously drawn Ryelle into the conflict by asking her to cast a blight shield over her city to protect it from magickal attacks that were apparently part of the PvP -- without informing Ryelle that there was agreed-upon PvP taking place.  It is possible that Ryelle was miffed at this and this in addition to her curiosity contributed to her decision to occupy a square near an ally's city with an army.

So apparently TLR is happy to involve others in this sort of thing as long as they are helping TLR.  But if another player's actions are perceived as benefiting the other side, in no matter how minor a way, complaints are immediately made.

What's up with that?

in my opinion there needs to be  new war rules, not as destructive, also coupled with faster building times, armies need to move quicker, there must be easier ways to move castles, the game supports a nonviolent environment, changes need to be made to make war more of a fun thing and less of an all or nothing thing, other words...make war more fun and building alot less time consuming, we invest so much time into building why waste it in a war?

So, basically, you want to play Evony.  Let me know if you need a link.

So, basically, you'll shoot down anyone who wants to have their version of fun if it interferes with yours?

T

I also think that everyone can have fun in different ways without interfering with each other.  Illy is a big place, and there is room for plenty of playstyles.  The idea that "everyone" has to be warlike or "everyone" has to be peaceful is a false dichotomy.  Some people can be more warlike, others can be more peaceful.

Really now?

I seem to know of a certain pvp that has been occurring in Ursor, pvp that was approved of by the two participants and now certain people are throwing themselves into the matter, would you not call that interfering?

All right then,

My member has been pvp'ing with another player over a settlement issue.  Ground rules of truce worked out, no diplo'iong, military or blighting done by anyone outside these two.

Low and behold, the player my member is pvp'ing against is on the losing side and starts to hide his armies, close enough to be recalled for siege, but hidden to avoid being destroyed.   Discovered to be hiding his armies around his *brother* juxwin, it's deemed fair by juxwin as it wasn't mentioned in the truce that one cant do that.  Note: juxwin has been taken to hiding his armies around juxwins, scouts very probably being placed in said armies to make ti harder to figure out whos is whos.

an irritance until...

Juxwin accidentally sends my member a message meant for rill, encouraging her to place armies among jonazz's, what happens? one of her armies gets killed.

Looky here

Crow armies surround tlr sov,

Rill states that shes worried tlr is razing every army around and is covinetly placing these armies around jonazz's armies and near tlr sqs

This doesn't involve you and you are clearly interfering, let them have their game without you rubbing yourself all over the hot zone.
