I personally dislike active players sitting inactive player's accounts just to keep them for whatever strategic purpose. If a player is gone, really gone the sitter should let it go. I do see the incentive and it is a personal preference because bottom line, the rules allow it.

Changing build times is unnecessary...period.

Agree with Brand.
Also, a lot of those "inactives" are players that have hit their desired max city count with each city built to their liking... so illytools will show no growth even if they log in twice a day.

I don't see anything wrong with big players reaching an endgame and putting their cities on cruise control. It's their prerogative to show up for tournaments and other activities. It's a little sketchy if they have effectively abandoned and simply turned over their cities to sitters, but that's also tough to identify in practice.

If you believe this is an exploit, then you should raise a petition.

Otherwise, posting it in forums is meta-gaming, rousing others to generate dissatisfaction and demand action.

...and perhaps exposing exploits like this would only encourage more of it?

Yes please..give examples

Illytools was the source? Isn't that the tool written by an Illy player that was modified so that certain people in Illy can't use it?

Give examples and open up the data in Illytools so that we can verify the data. I am not sure you should quote a source for data and then not let people see the data.

"so many large accounts"? is that 5, 10, 100, 1000? what does "so many" mean?

I think your issue seems to be more with sitting accounts which has been gone over a billion times and the Devs state still that there is no intention to change this.
As far as changing build times- I disagree- illy takes patience and i think the nature of the game weeds out alot of trolls, and creates a more mature player base. If you want to build things faster- buy prestige and support the illy dev team Wink

Again the above I find, is a very wishy washy way of determining which account are deleted and which are not.

I understand your bearing but over the past 6 months, Fremorn as an example has lost nearly 50% of its veteran members and their cities.

So I dont' really see the big problem. If you suspect they are inactive then wait.

If you basically have a problem with players sitting accounts, then adress that specific problem in another thread with the corresponding headline.

I do not really feel like giving examples. But checking out some accounts via Illytools, you see virtually no growth. Somebody apparently logs in every few weeks and builds a few things. It would be interesting to know whether this is a sitter or the original account holder. I think accounts that are just sit upon should be deleted at some stage.

By all means here - gives us examples, cause I can't recognize what you describe.
