IllySPN ~ Ignoring the pleas for good commentary for 12 days! LOL

Day 12 (Part One) 

Its day 12 and we're back to continue the (slightly delayed) IllySPN coverage of the latest Illyriad Tournament. With me once again and thankfully sleeping now is Harvey the Puppy. I'll give you all a moment to go 'How cute' before continuing... Todays thread is brought to you by BEER - Enough said! LOL Here's the stats for the last days action.

Tanis [Curse] still leads all players with 21 elementals binded across 2 altars. In second place still with 18 elementals across 4 altars is Iduna [Curse] and closing the gap in third is Bren'th [Curse] who now has 17 elementals all from the Keppen Wind Altar. RuneMage [REIGN] and Mandarin31 [VIC] have 11 a piece and the remainder of the chasing pack has The Dragon [Dlord], Gixy [Curse], Llyorn of Jaensch [H?] and Ravenstone [H?] all with 9 elementals each.

A busier day for action at the altars today. Keppen lead the way with over 25k casualties followed by the Earth Altar at Arran with over 16k dead and finally conflicts in the Mal Motsha Altar totalled over 14k. There were no epic battles again however Iduna [Curse] was involved in all the conflicts at Keppen.

Yes I realise I've been slacking with the commentary the last few days, but unfortunately alliance affairs and real life (mostly the later) have been limiting my time for a few days. I will correct this asap (along with todays one which I'm about to post).

Day 11 (Part One)

Welcome back. Its day 11 and we are now over a third of the way into the contest. With me again and still trying to eat my notes is Harvey the Puppy, hopefully he won't drool on anything important. Todays thread is brought to you by IllyDonalds... All beef in our burgers is sourced locally and has no rat in it... honest! Here's what happened in the past 24 hours...

No change at the top of the leader board in the top 3. Tanis [Curse] still leads the way with 21 elementals, Iduna [Curse] is second with 18 and in third with 14 is Bren'th [Curse]. In fourth is a new entry with RuneMage of [Reign] making his first mention in the commentary with 11 elementals. The remainder of the chasing pack is lead by The Dragon [Dlord], Gixy [Curse], Lloyorn of Jaensch [H?] and Mandarin31 [VIC] with 9 elementals a piece.

By far the quietest day of the tournament so far with losses totalling a little under 30k across all altars. The altars in Keppen and Arran lead the way with a little over 8k casualties at each. The Air Elemental Altar at Windlost had its second consecutive day without any losses. Unsurprisingly there were no epic battle once again at any tournament site.

The IllySPN Thread - Visiting your computer and not wiping its feet on the way in for 10 days and counting.

Day 10 (Part One)

Welcome back to IllySPN's (very) delayed coverage of Day 10 of the Harnessing the Elementals Tournament. I'm Manannan and also with me today is a chocolate brown Labrador puppy named Harvey. He's not going to be typing much but I will have to fight him constantly for control of my notes before he eats them. Today's post is brought to you by Slazenger Tennis balls - If you don't like the tennis you can keep the puppy amused for hours. Here's what happened in day 10.

All change at the top of the players leader board. Tanis [Curse] is now the tournament leader with 21 elementals binded to him. Nipping at his heels and by no means out of the equation it yesterdays leader Iduna with 18 elements across four altars and completeing the 1-2-3 for [Curse] is Bren'th in third with a total of 11. Tied up in 4th place are The Dragon [Dlord], Gixy [Curse] and Llyorn of Jaensch with 9 elementals a piece. The remainder of the chasing pack is lead by Pasi [WE] with 8 elements thus far.

A very quiet day at most of the altars. Leading the way was the Wind Elemental Altar at Mal Motsha with over 34k casualties but a large gap to the next bloodiest with its fellow Wind Altar in Keppen coming next with over 12k lost souls. No other altar had more than 10k losses and it won't surprise you to know that there were no epic battles on this day.

As its day 10 and we are now a third of the way into the tournament today we're going to take a look at the Alliance leader board as well. So far 293 elementals have been binded to players across the map between 23 alliances and 3 non aligned players. Unsurprisingly as they have the top 3 spots [Curse] lead the way with 71 elementals. In second with 44 elementals is [H?] and tied for third with 26 each are [VIC] and [Dlord]. Last tournament winners [VALAR] are just off the pace of the top ten at the moment with 7 elementals so far in 12th position.

Day 9 (Part One)
Welcome back fellow Illyrians to the ninth day of our tournament coverage. Today's post is brought to you by the genius bargain-makers at Sainsbury Supermarkets... Individual item price £2, but buy 2 for £5!!! Confused (I kid you not, I saw this offer in 3 different places in a store earlier today!) Here's the news from the past 24 hours.

Could Iduna's reign as tournament leader be coming to an end. Our statistics say maybe. She is now tied with fellow Curse member Tanis at the top of the leader board with 18 elementals each binded to their cities. There's visible daylight between them and the chasing pack, next up are Llyorn of Jaensch [H?] and Gixy [Curse] with nine each binded. Pasi [WE] has 8, and the remainder of the chasing pack is lead by Jack Aubrey [Dlord], Mandarin31 [VIC] and G0DsDestroyer [Sir] with 7 a piece.

A few hotly contested altars yesterday. The Norweld Earth Altar reported over 41k casualites. The Keppen Wind Altar had encounters totalling over 35k troop losses, whilst the Fire Altar of Kal Tirikan was the scene of over 31k troop deaths.

Two epic encounters yesterday both at the Kal Tirikan Altar. (There was a third but this was mistakenly reported in yesterdays analysis.) The first battle say Bren'th [Curse] try to seize power and over 17k troops failed to return from the encounter. He was followed less than 30 minutes later by Mr Smiley [T?] in a battle cost nearly 12k souls. Ouch No doubt there was a Mr Not-So-Smiley after that result! LOL

Join us again tomorrow for day 10 coverage as we have yet another in depth look at the statistics including the five day view of the alliance leader boards and we try to digest the first third of the tournament action.
