DAY 5 (Part One)
Welcome back to day 5 of IllySPN's coverage of the Harnessing the Elementals Tournament. Today's post is brought to you by The Scribes of Allembine... 'Providing protection to your cities so well you don't even realise they're there!' Here's all the news from the last days action.
Iduna [Curse] continues her reign as tournament leader now with 15 elementals binded to her across three altars. Asked to comment on her success Iduna said, 'Great. I'm going to open a bottle of wine to celebrate.' Llyorn of Jaensch [H?] is still in second with 9 elementals across 2 altars, with Tanis [Curse] nipping at his heels with 8 elements so far. Gixy [Curse] and Pasi [WE] lead the remainder of the chasing pack with 6 elementals each.
Another relatively quiet day in terms of action but the hottest contested altars were the Wind Altar at Keppen with over 33k casualties, the Norweld Earth Altar with over 19k dead and finally the Wind Altar in Mal Motsha also with over 19k lost souls.
There were two epic confrontations yesterday. Mr Smiley [T?] battled for control of the Kal Tirikan Altar with both sides losing over 16k troops and at the Keppen Altar Llyorn of Jaensch battled for control with over 14k men failing to return back to their cities. The Keppen Altar also had Wheel of Time's [WoT] first foray into the contest in a battle which will stand the test of time! A spokesperson for WoT said that a memorial service is planned later in the week.
Extended statistics today and we bring you look at the leading alliances for numbers binded to them. So far 20 alliances and one non-aligned player have elementals binded to their cities. Leading the way with 33 elementals is Curse of Wolves [Curse] followed Harmless? [H?] with 23 binded. Dwarven Lords [Dlord] and Invictus [VIC] lead the rest of the chasing pack with 12 elementals each. Last tournaments winners Order of the Valar [VALAR] are virtual no shows thus far in the tournament with only 2 elementals in total binded as it stands.

I'm actually surprised with the low body count in general. Okay yes we have had a few truly epic sized confrontations (some of them between alliance mates) but I was expecting a lot more and there seems to be maybe a little bit of army perseverance from some parties. Either like you say they are waiting to make their move till later in the tournament or there are more things happening behind the scenes than any of us realise. Hopefully for all our sakes its not the later.

DAY 4 (Part one)
Welcome back Lords and Ladies to Day 4 of the IllySPN coverage of the Harnessing the Elementals Tournament. Today's post is sponsored by Gnome Brew 0.1... 'The beer so weak its like making love in a canoe!' Here's all the action from the last 24 odd hours.
Iduna [Curse] is now the stand alone leader at the top of the leader board with a massive 13 elementals binded to her across 4 different Altars. Llyorn of Jaensch [H?] is second with a total of 9 elementals binded to him across two Altars. Asked to comment on the secret of his success Llyorn commented, ' Protein's alright. Carbs are the enemy. ' Trailing just behind is Tanis [Curse] with 8 fire elementals binded to his cities from the Altar at [-500|500]. Finishing of the top of the board with 4 water elementals each from the Altar at [500|0] are gixy [Curse] and Hora [VIC].
The hottest contested Altars yesterday were the Earth Altars with over 24k casualties in Norweld and over 23k lost at Arran. They were followed shortly behind by the fire Altar in Turalia with over 21k lost souls.
There we no epic battles (over 10k casualties) at any site yesterday, and the Altar of Air at Lan Larosh actually had no losses at all in the last day.

DAY 3 (Part One) Welcome back to IllySPNs coverage of the latest blood drenched tournament to take place in Illyria. Today's coverage is brought to you in association with TC Fortune Tellers... One moment their there, the next they're gone! Here's the news and views, the comings and goings from the last 24 hours.
Tied at the top of the leader board yesterday, today Tanis [Curse] made his bid for glory with a perfect day and ending up leading all comers with 7 fire elements binded to his cities. Nipping at his heels was another player with a good day, Llyorn of Jaensch [H?] was in fact tied at the top also with 7 elements binded to him from two different Altars. Leading the chasing pack with 5 elementals also from two Altars was Iduna [Curse], followed closely followed by Hora [VIC] with 4 water elementals binded to him.
The hottest contested Altars in the past 24 hours were the Norweld Altar of Earth with over 55k casualties and the Altars of Fire in Kal Tirikan and Turalia with over 35k and 22k lost souls respectively.
The largest confrontation of the day also took part at the Kal Tirikan Alter with Beserker [Curse] battling his opponent in an epic bout costing the lives of over 23k Illyrian souls.
The Blooper Award for the day is currently unconfirmed, however it appears since the tournament began one player has attacked his own alt not only once, but TWICE... OUCH!  Hopefully we will receive confirmation on this shortly.
