Companies House claims that the confirmation statement has not been filed since 24 May 2024 - its overdue. It is more of a concern that accounts have not been filed since the last set accounts lodged with companies house was for the year ended 31 July 2021. The 31/07/2022 accounts were due to be lodged 31/07/2023 and they are 14 months overdue. Its a matter of great concern and its not helped by launching table top games whilst the above matter doesn't get sorted out.

The late filing penalty for accounts filed 14 months after the deadline is rather large £1,500 as the accounts are more than 6 months overdue.

lolol.

Illy's confirmation statement has been filed.  I don't know where you got your "information" from, but it/you are entirely wrong.  Go check it yourself if you like at the Companies House website.

Confirmation statement

Next statement date 10 May 2025
due by 24 May 2025

Last statement dated 10 May 2024

Please don't talk sh*t - I have zero tolerance for people who flat out lie about easily checkable facts.

Our accounts are - in Companies House terms - overdue.  This is because we are waiting for an incredibly tedious ruling by HMRC (ie the tax authorities) on an incredibly boring and arcane part of the tax code relating to Research & Development Tax Credits.

I won't go into detail because it's a) incredibly boring and b) you wouldn't understand it, because you're not a R&D Tax Credit specialist for His Majesty's Revenue & Customs.

This delayed ruling has prevented us from filing our accounts on time.  We have a waiver from Companies House, granting us an extended delay in filing our accounts, pending the HMRC ruling.

I'd personally recommend that people who don't know anything about anything should refrain from posting stuff about which they know nothing.

Also, why do you care, in any way?  Unless you're a shareholder in Illy corp, this is both figuratively and literally *absolutely none* of your business.

It's very possible, in the future, that we may split Illyriad Games Ltd into more than one entity - one for R&D, and one for day-to-day running and operations.   I will neither seek your opinion nor ask your consent for the way in which we, collectively, run this company.

Finally, your shot across the bow about the board game was noted.  Clearly you have issues with reading and comprehension.  The board game was developed by Speedrobo Games; we have spent zero time developing it, because, um... we're not table-top board games developers.

Much like you are not an HMRC R&D Tax Credit specialist, nor a shareholder in Illy corp...  we keep our opinions to our areas of expertise, and you would be wise to do the same.

Best,

SC

"This is because we are waiting for an incredibly tedious ruling by HMRC" - based on personal experience I'd anticipate a response from them rouhly around the turn of the century although the word 'tedious' could actually cause their interest in this to skyrocket resulting in a greater delay while they spend lifetimes savouring it.

I posted on 15 Sep 2024 at 05:08 after checking companies house to look at the latest accounts. At that time the confirmation statement HAD NOT BEEN FILED. This can easily be checked by looking at the companies house website which says that the confirmation statement was filed on 16/09/2024. Even the confirmation statement says that it was filed on 16/09/2024. At the time I made my post I WAS CORRECT.

You can accuse me of telling lies BUT THE DATE OF THE CONFIRMATION STATEMENT IS IRRELEVANT. THE DATE OF FILING IS THE IMPORTANT DATE.

Now I note that you have responded about the accounts and I take your word on that. Thank you.

Since you filed the confirmation statement the very next day after I posted this in the forum, I infer that you or your accountant had forgotten to do it. Hence the filing was done 24 hours after I pointed this out. My advice is free and I am glad that you did something about it.
