It really does seem like a Friday bug - interesting.
Can anyone confirm if it happens every week or just on the 3rd Friday of the month? |

Yup - I can confirm 15 separate rare herb plots, each of which I harvested with a team smaller by 1 than its size last night, each of which reported one left on the plot as usual when last night's team left, each of which has regenerated promptly after such harvesting for many months up until now, each of which has today yielded 1 to a team that repeated the earlier size (while I was out at work, so in no position to notice this thread or reports from any scouts, had I had any good reason to send them), each of which is now devoid of herbs; and a grape plot that I have routinely harvested with teams of size 12 for months, and shared with a neighbour whose team of size 11 was, today, harvesting when the spot vanished under its feet. No harvesting regime is safe against turning out to have been unwitting vandalism when the plots' ability to regenerate is subject to random whim :-(

... and, in case anyone involved in development thinks this is a cool way to push us to pay more attention to the game ... well, nothing has happened for months (new magic ? dark continent ?) and one of the few things that was keeping me coming back twice a day was to catch all my small-plot harvesting teams on their ways home and send out their successors.
I now have to actually make a choice about whether I'd sooner do something else with my spare time or spend a bunch of time establishing new harvesting patterns for my herbalists, after they unwittingly destroyed their own livelihoods. Knowing that this happens at random (yeah, sure, usually on a Friday, when I'm not home as early as I might otherwise be, to notice problems and prevent their turning into disasters) is one more reason to just ditch the routine and find something else to do with my too little free time. |

I agree Eddy, the routine of gathering is what keeps me logging back in more than once every few days. This friday glitch has seen all of my rare herbs destroyed, every common herb destroyed and even every common mineral destroyed that I sent a harvester to. No way am I putting up with a feature like this.

I doubt it is a "feature" per se. Maybe someone is rash enough to think it's an unimportant bug, but I don't suppose it's intended !
My guess is that your mines shall recover; but I fear herbs shall be randomly regenerated according to the usual process. It'll take me months to restore normal order to my harvesting, starting with lots of long-range harvesting, changing haphazardly as clumsy oafs over-harvest those spots when I'm in no position to interrupt them (I have a day job ...) and maybe I'll be lucky and get a source of something I presently lack (or, even, something useful), but I'm still left questioning whether it's worth the effort. |

For the past 10 hours or so I have had cotters, miners and herbalists clear out various squares on the map.
I log in to the game several times a day, every day to stay on top of the timers of my harvesters. Please fix this!
