See, when you put it that way, it actually sounds pretty good. | Lmao!

Suggesting that the devs want us to play in their sandbox in one way or another way is a fairly common occurrence. I have heard the devs repeatedly say that they don't have any preconceptions about how we should interact with the sandbox and that they are charmed and delighted by the "castles" we create here.
If people have ideas about what should or shouldn't be or how things should or shouldn't be done, advocate for them vigorously! But using "the devs want it" as a crutch for one's ideas is not particularly convincing. |
Except where the devs state '...the devs want this...'

The devs are pretty good at expressing support for pretty much any way players choose to engage with the game, leading many to think that the devs agree with "their" way of playing. Dang, those guys should run for office!

Dang, those guys should run for office! | You'd almost think someone in a place of certain importance among the Dev team had some familiarity with International Diplomacy

I just saw this and I can't resist:
H? is a military alliance in a game where military action is regarded with abhorrence and terror. Sure there is trading, manufacturing and killing wildlife, but if you base your reputation on military supremacy and you don't get to fight once in a while, what's the point of logging in? Building all those muscles must feel pretty meaningless if you don't get to flex them.
Harmless? is like Rowdy Roddy Piper in the movie "They Live". They have come here to chew bubblegum and to kick a$$. They are all out of bubblegum.
Can I be on the no-siege list?

I think it is more like this - Harmless' military reputation is like in the book the Wonderful Wizard of Oz - Oz the Powerful and Terrible is actually a 'Humbug' who has fooled everyone into thinking they are powerful, so much so that no one actually sees them anymore, and no one disturbs them for fear of their power (which is not actual power, jsut stage props and ventrilloquism).
Does that put me on the list too? I didn't mean nothin by it, honest!
