Understand that rules, at any time, can be changed, altered, switched, finagled, cropped, edited or tweaked as we see fit. We can also find something that is not normally covered by the rules as breaking the rules.

This is quite possibly the stupidest reason for conflict I have ever seen arise in my history in Illyriad, and I can still remember why ~NC~ declared war on BANE.

It appears more than clear to me (and hopefully to the rest of us) that this declaration of war was never intended as a joke, and that RE is simply calling it a joke because Han has made this public in order to protect themselves, as they have a right to do.  RE calling it a joke now instead of owning up to their actions and thinking anyone will believe it is the humorous part.  For RE to still be following Flavius around and now not only attacking him, but attacking a new alliance over what he did, shows immaturity in my opinion on the part of RE leadership.

Mediation on this topic has begun between the two parties. I respectfully request members of both HAN and RE to cease posting in this forum to allow the process a chance to work without further inflammation.

Seriously, cut it out guys.  Your "joke"(How was this supposed to be funny, exactly?) fell flat.  Just cut the crap and settle this as quickly and privately as you still can.  I don't know what kind of "attack" you allege they sent at you, but if Corwin wasn't involved, It certainly wasn't anything worth talking about.

I don't see where the "joke" part of declaring war is ... it happens with CONFED alliances when doing some kind of tournaments, it happens with training alliances also when doing tournaments or preparing new players on siege mechanics and how to react in case of war .... but just like that ?
Not very funny, add to that that HAN is a newb alliance and I don't think they have any relation with RE .... apparently the only relation is Flavius who is the haunted party by RE since day 1 on Illy.
However, HAN posting this on forum is just like a chain reaction .... keep the diplomacy behind the scenes, its always better and communicate this problem with alliances you have NAPS or CONFED with, you will definetly settle this with no need for hostility or give and take ....
This now is like a chain reaction going from post to post and in the end turning everyone taking sides with one party and then everyone goes out against everyone.

Please guys, settle this diplomatically .... HAN just accept the joke thing .... RE ... just don't joke around by declaring war on alliances you have no relationship with .... especially an alliance having a player known throughout Illyriad being the haunted of RE ....

I hope this misunderstanding settles peacefully, there is no need for war right now .... just settled down guys.

Well, I guess it is time for my 2 cents again. This is a conflict between 2 alliances. They have their own confeds and diplomatic ties. Let them get on with it and let them have their fun. Why do so many of you people in this community always jump to halt anything that has nothing to do with you?

The discussion started off well between the 2 alliances and then the rest of you jumped in and it seems the poor alliances involved have been bullied into accepting anything you propose now. The Han have a very powerful confed with T-O and thus do not need the rest of us acting like policemen and trying to get involved. RE probably also have their own allies. If it gets out of hand they will probably come up with a solution anyway.

is it? based on something in this thread, or on knowledge you possess outside of it? assuming motive based on what's here seems quite speculative.
