Well, education anyway, I hardly feel edified after any contact with fratboy-like, smug, destructive yahoos of any stripe. Edited by Ryuuku - 18 Apr 2011 at 19:56 |

@Ryukuu and 'GOONs' of Illyriad:
If you guys did not orginate from / have never been associated with or members of / are not some attempt to imitate, the 'GOONs' of somethingaweful.com then I offer you an unreserved apology. I shall endeavour to judge you only on your actions with Illyriad, should I choose to judge at all. ![]()
Again, apologies if you were offended by my earlier comments. Two points in my defence though: 1. This, as we already established, is "The Bitter Sea". It ain't all happy bunnies and ponies. 2. 'GOONswarm' and other 'GOON...' related pseudonyms are a universally recognised collective/tag that have gained alot of notoriety by doing alot sh*tty things on alot of sites, not just online games. They do it because they get kicks out of pissing other people off, it's like the school play-ground of the internet. If you guys used their tag unwittingly without realising the connection that ALOT of people will automatically assume then you guys made a pretty naiive decision. In the internet a tag is as good as a brand, since almost everything is text. But anyways, consider my issue here finished. You've made your defence and I've made my apology, so perhaps we can go back to discussing the plight of darken rahl. |

I have always had my suspicions that the Goonies in this game, were related to the GOONs in this and other games. Since the GOONs have made use of the GOON name longer than the Goonies here, I think it makes sense for the Goonies to change their name forever. No matter which game you will play, players will think you are the GOONs. Coming from Darkfallonline, I though you were part of the GOONs.
The fact you have not heard of the GOONs makes me think the players in this alliance are noobs. Here is a good name for you... ONE TEAM! ONE FIGHT! [PIRATES] or 1Team1Fight [Pirates] FYI You may have heard of 'The Mercs'? No matter which game they play, they (like H?) make sure no one will take that name. The Mercs was the alliance that destroyed the GOONs in Darkfallonline btw. They are known for joining new games at launch and exploiting everything to get the best advantage in game to WIN games. Once they announce VICTORY, they leave game and start another. Illyriad and H? is very lucky they did not attempt to play this game or things would have been very different in this game. H? does not compare to the pro gamers of the 'The Mercs'. You thought GOONs were bad for games, 'The Mercs' are far worse. Foggen (former merc) rules EU server right now in Darkfallonline. This is my last forum post. Last night I was annoyed and angry at the unjustified attacks being dealt against my city's, but having time to reflect on it the Goonie's have done me a favour pushing me out of Illyriad. This game take's up so much of your time, I'm now free in a sense so thankyou! The Goonie's are a bunch of cutthroats tho especially Faya there was no evidence what so ever to back up their claims and they twisted event's so they looked to be in the right.
One final note Faya
I believe you intentionally ignored this mail because you wanted this to happen, you knew what John Louis said did'nt add up and you thought it would be fun anyway to let the hound's out, Shame on you Faya. |

I had typed a long response.. but frankly, it wasn't really worth going into.
YOU have time still to save your city. But the ball has been in your court and you have chosen to not act on it. |

Why is it that no one settles these disputes by posting the mail that they sent to the opposing members?

Good question. I don't know why people feel the need to bring these to the forums.. BUT.. this is the Bitter Sea.. so let the complaints flow!!! |

Actually, that's been done many times in the past, but somehow it never seems to solve anything, only takes the arguments to new material.

Based off of how quickly I see these threads branching out I can see how that could spark some unusual debate lol

I'd imagine it's because the player hopes to get help from someone else. Although I think it's a good thing to bring to the forums regardless of whether you're seeking help. If no one talked about TMM, no one would have done anything about them. |
