Thanks, TC. Darn, that's a shame -- it would be awesome to be able to embed Google Docs on the forum and elsewhere, since they would update on the fly. Something tells me that if I take this up with Google, though, I 'll never get a response.

One to take up with Google Docs or check out their help at least.
They are setting the HTTP Headers: X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block Which means the browser is refusing to embed it in a page that doesn't match its host URL of docs.google.com Edited by GM ThunderCat - 15 May 2015 at 23:20 |

No, it's a test image. It's just a smiley face.

How big is the image? My browser shows that this page is still loading. Is it huge?

The drawing is shared with the public, so still no dice.

Hi TC. Well, here's what Google gives me:
https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1l8PzNbgDEidNgURedv58S3Qz_D5egZokpsJQk4r3OGo/pub?w=480&h=360 or <img src="https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1l8PzNbgDEidNgURedv58S3Qz_D5egZokpsJQk4r3OGo/pub?w=480&h=360"> This is the image URL from the browser: https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1l8PzNbgDEidNgURedv58S3Qz_D5egZokpsJQk4r3OGo Let's try the first link in the Add Image tool: Edited by Jejune - 15 May 2015 at 21:23 |

Do you have it shared with everyone; is the link correct - for example the image you've included above doesn't show.

I recently created a drawing on Google Drawings that I wanted to put on my player and alliance profile. When I inserted the embed code into the profile pages, the drawing did render, but when I saved the profile, the picture did not show up. Then I used the "Add Image" tool on the WYSIWYG editor and put the drawing link into it. Again, the drawing rendered, but when I clicked "update," it would not show up.
The same goes for the forum. Below I tried to use the "Add Image" tool to serve a Google Drawing, and it rendered in the edit screen, but is broken when I publish.
I don't know if this is by design or a glitch, but if the latter, having this fixed would be a major help, because the drawing I made is one that will be updated regularly, and if it can be successfully embedded in profiles, it would serve as a major resource. Thanks! Edited by Jejune - 15 May 2015 at 20:03 |
