if you are on a computer there's not a reason I know of not to play directly in the browser.  The setup there will still have black space on the right side.  Many people pop out the chat boxes and stick them over there.  Other than that, you can use the zoom function to make everything bigger.  You can also set the text defaults in your browser to make things bigger.

I agree with Rill's assessment. The app is glitchy as well.

using browsers is so yesterday tech, especially with cloud servers....we need the devs to speak up on this issue and whether they have a commitment to this game to bring it into aoa playing level?

Hi twilights,

Yes we have a commitment to modernise the Illy UI, and have spoken about it; please see this thread for more details.

Modern browser users (Chrome, IE11, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera users) will have the same UIv4 as app users will have, when UIv4 goes live.

It is only a small minority of players (eg) people with:
  1. out-of-date versions of modern browsers that they cannot or will not upgrade,
  2. feature-limited browsers (eg Safari)
  3. Linux-based Chrome (eg Chromeboxes & Chromebooks)...
... who will most likely not be able to run the updated UIv4 as these configurations do not currently support the modern WebGL technologies - and do not look likely to do so in the future.  These users will remain on the current UI (which will also be an option for all users, if they wish to stay with the current UI).

Regards,

SC
