Thanks for fixing the problem. I agree that having the population listed for the cities is nice, it means I don't have to go to my towns to see current populations. I don't think it's necessary to tell players which city is their capital on the dropdown. Do people forget which city is their capital?

I like the new one so much I don't ever want it to go back.
Now all we need is an "Empire Summary" page which lists all units/resources across all towns in one screen. KP |

I also don't mind losing the graphic, but I'd like to keep some of the old information about the cities. For players who have their cities scattered all over the face of Illyriad (like me), listing what region the city is in makes it easier to quickly find at times. And the actual city population was more useful than "large city," though I don't find this information critical for the city selection drop-down.

Personally, I like it better. It's more compact and easier to select from :)

On a similar side note, I'd also happily get rid of the small icon in the advanced resources pop-up.
It makes lag the pop-up quite a bit; I realize it is my slow connection, still...
Yes, please. Similar to the Dashboard page. |

I expect the decision is already made about whether the desirable end-point is to have the detailed drop-box or the (current) simple one; expressing a preference is moot, because the simple one is just a temporary compromise while the detailed one is debugged. I don't think anyone's playing experience has been compromised.
FWIW, I don't mind the new drop-box. It is good for me because I can see it all without moving the eye too much (whereas previously I had to move my eyes a lot), but I slightly miss the (non-essental) population count. Slightly off-topic, but it was mentioned above:
As much as I'd like a Dashboard page, I don't think it will arrive soon (though I'll be glad if I have to eat my words). |

Yes, we need the population back in that menu... it was such a great quick reference, meaning... "Oh, I'm going to increase my population today, what city should I focus on?" Bam, pull down menu will tell ya where to go... NOW, player icon, towns, sort by size, sort again to get the largest first... four clicks versus one, just to get reference information. Please
