So... 0700 til 1900 server time is daylight 1900 til 0700 is night ... got it thanks

I've got a question that never was pertinent to me before. With the advent of so many Daytime and Nighttime specific weapons/Armor how does Illy differentiate day and night? It can't be local defines as we are scattered across all time zones; therefore it has to be servertime ... BUT what is the distinction between Night and Day?!
Thanx to whoever can lead me straight on this
