What do you do when a warmonger alliance attacks when you have not attacked them and you have no alliance to appeal to. This alliance is trying to take over all of the Wastes. Intimidation and war is all they know.

Without an alliance, you're kinda screwed against any competent opposition. But, there are still options. Plan A: Screw these guys 1) Gather allies. Figure out who else they are targeting and try to band together. Ideally your towns will be surrounded by plains and have decent military capabilities. Also, they should be clustered close together. 2) Infiltrate. If you don't have an alt that you are attached to, make yourself a new one. Aim to get within the alliance you are infiltrating. Once there, wait a while and then start publishing chatlogs or mass mails. This can either be anonymously or under your own name. If you can get into any private messaging platforms, such as slack, that's great. You'll likely be able to access all sorts of fun info that can be passed along to their enemies. I personally don't tend to publish stuff from private messaging platforms because it narrows the pool of people that their mole could be. 3) Research. From the information you've collected, who is their biggest rival? Who is spoiling for a fight with them? Who can actually help you? Get in touch with them. Give them information on enemy troop composition and the like. 4) Continue being annoying. Remember; they can take your towns, smash your armies and diplo you into next year, but that doesn't destroy your account. If you are persistent, you can really annoy them. The suspicion of having a spy in your ranks who is public with their spying can really tear an alliance apart. Plan B: If you can't beat them, join them Try to join their alliance. Strategy for doing this may vary. Figure out what you can offer as a player. This could be a delaying tactic for both Plans A and C as well. Plan C: Move Find a better place to be. Move there. This can then lead into Plan A if you feel revenge is necessary.

This is the thread that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend. Some person started it, not knowing what it was, and we'll continue posting on it forever just because...

Researching sometimes just requires you to know... or to know people who know. Keeping an eye on GC can help, but infiltration is probably the best way to do your research.
If you're looking to keep your main account intact, infiltration is also a lot less likely to attract attention to you than asking around.

All things considered I think the best course of action to take would be to join an alliance which has an NAP with this aggressive alliance. An nap which they do not want to lose. Of course they could drop out of the alliance temporarily and attack me but they run the risk of losing the nap they have with the much larger alliance. Like they say "discretion is the better part of valor."
