Suggestion: Assassins

   Seeing how there is a Tier 2 building to increase diplo detection range, i'd like to suggest using Assassins as a method for intercepting and destroying incoming diplo attacks.

Assassins could be used to attack -all- incoming diplo units, regardless of type.  What keeps them from being overpowered is 1) their high research requirements and 2) the fact that assassins cannot be used for in-city defense.

For example, I could use assassins to intercept incoming thieves, but to actually defend against theft once they get into my city I would still need my own thieves to ferret them out.

Assassins could be further balanced by making them the most expensive diplo unit to make and maintain, along the same lines as Cavalry units for armies.

	In some ways you could accomplish something similar with a Runemaster's Grounding and a Ward of Destruction. That would take out large numbers of anything but scouts or spies, as well as military units. Then you supplement with your own defensive diplos of the types most relevant to your needs (for example, if you don't have high-level commanders you don't worry about assassins). I guess I would wonder what new gameplay possibilities would be opened by having this specific unit. In some ways it sounds a bit like the Allembine scribes, a defensive-only diplo unit (except those only work against spies).
