   I sent armies with level 0 commanders at the same stacks of creatures with and without gear and compared the xp gain. According to my tests boar spears are still underpowered! Can anyone replicate or not?

Mountain Spear 454 / No Spear 206 = 2.2, correct 120% elite bonus
Boar spear = 1.24 for 24% elite

Spiked Plate 42%
Overpadded Chain 22%

Hunter's Bow 51%

	there are various factors which could throw off this result by comparing the xp like this, it would be better to plug the battle into bolisms hunting calculator and compare with the expected outcome

	Got one, the hunting calc predicted 78 troops needed at 112% hunting bow bonus, where the 100 elite shots died. Multiplying the kill fraction gives me 167 elite troops to win which the calculator suggests when the true bonus is 25% (predicted troop loss of 77 in the cell beside the blue highlighted empty cell)

	Ah, I put in the elite bonus rather than base for the weapon bonus, so rather than 25% true bonus I think it's ~50% elite like in the level 0 commander test

	Boar spear attack - to match an in game elite comm attack the calculator matches when the spear bonus is set to 24%. This is interesting since the xp comparison tests I've done consistently give 12% base bonus, not 24% After setting the boar spear bonus to 104% in the calculator the predicted loss is 80% less than the attack was, too big a difference for small errors to cause
