One more attack, same square.

Two opposing forces clash against each other.

The reflective glassy surface of Obsidian proves a disastrous terrain to fight on, especially when combined with jagged, ragged Vulcan plains and oozing lava pits. Even the lightest of units will have difficulties mounting an assault here.

Defenders gain a very slight advantage over attackers on this treacherous terrain, finding in advance the most defensible paths to set ambushes. However, attempting to navigate the baking, oozing and fragile magma crust disadvantages everyone.

Second hit, less than 12 hours later, same spot.

Another army also occupying same spot now, else I'd be toast I imagine.

Mathi,

I paid those guys to attack you.  They don't work cheaply.  And can't even finish the job they were sent to do.  How do you get good help these days?!?!

The terrain is described as 'Glassy Mountain - Small Mountain' and is an Obsidian mine.

So far the two attacks that I'm aware of have been on rare mineral spots.

Thanks Marti! Also interesting to see the report on the Obsidian terrain type.  Interesting that defenders have an advantage over attackers (or less of a disadvantage).  Not news to people in Calumnex, probably, but I haven't fought on the terrain down there.

Interesting to note that Turyns and Clan Bealagh are listed as being -45 to each other.

It's nice if they are in big numbers and start raiding cities. :)

Actually, the credit belongs to Freyja, who is doing the actual faction research and collecting all of the data, putting information into spreadsheets and such.

I'm still a new player. All I did was send some scouts :)
