Regardless I am still unable to rebuild a 3rd one...

Issue with the caravan appears to have self-resolved.

Caravans can only be destroyed by actions from another player.  We don't have any events ingame that just blow things up randomly, as that wouldn't really be much fun for you, the players!

The new message icon is gone, mailicon is blinking if you have new mail.

how odd, email did not change to a green icon to indicate a new message but I did get this msg:

Maxell Snow's caravans had managed to gather 25 resources from this location before being wiped off the face of the land.

 
so who destroyed it? is this a random event based on the square?
 
Regardless I am still unable to rebuild a 3rd one...

nope, level 3 market, 2 returning from a market trade, 1 was collecting from a local event spawn. Got one load, sent him back, someone else sent a caravan, mine returned, I resent him and got a 2nd load....beyond that I would have assumed he would return and not be destroyed by a caravan...there is no standing army protecting the square either...

Do you have a trade offer open?  It sucks up the required number of caravans from the pool in case someone accepts your trade offer.

Not sure if I had a caravan attacked or what but I know I have 3, but am only able to see two active...two are returning from a trade and I am not seeing the third on the event spawn collecting, nor do I see it in transit. Yes, tried rebuilding the 3rd thinking it was destroyed but I am unable to even though my marketplace is of the appropriate level.
