This just started happening to me exactly as descibed above in the last 10 minutes - I haven't altered anything at all on my system so I assume it is something going on with the server-side.

I have now joined the ranks of those who can't get past the Herald.

Attempts to log in take me to the Herald, with the notification window at the side. Red, in the Global and Alliance chat is, repeated ad nauseum: *** Chat Disconnecting - retrying ***

I am on a Mac, using Chrome 16.0.912.77.

I've been experiencing bits of lag prior to this where my icons all re-draw after changing from map view to city view. I've also experienced occasions as of late where I'll type something in chat, and it doesn't go through, but my chat window is still moving and the next thing I say does go through.

No it is not resolved. I was logged in and all the sudden BAM kicked. Try to log in again... BAM kicked again. Keeps saying: 

chat error thing over and over then BAM kicked. *long drawn out sigh*

Same problem here with firefox 9.0.1 and IE9 , I got a brief pop up message when trying to change a city with arrows "Unable to complete request" before logging out.

After crearing all browser history out I was able to connect normally. (Firefox)

Ok just downloaded Chrome and still cannot stay on Cry

I logged out and was able to log back in just fine.  Am using Chrome.
