So while technically I'm leader I'm really not. I won't be giving any direction or anything for at least a month though they can visit me on the B12 forums while I serve my penance.

This was entirely unforseen though it is funny in a way. Try it if you have a square in the tourney; try to promote someone to leader and you can't. It gives you a message that says "You can't remove someone in your alliance while they are on a tournament square." or something along those lines.

Seriously though that's brought a bit of humor to a very dark day for me.

I'll stay away for another month if necessary once the tourney is done. What say you Illy?

This is a post from the bay12 forums, to ambiguously provide some clarity:

"Last night I slandered in public an innocent person due to misinformation I had received in the past. I have thus resigned from the position of Expedition Leader of Slaves to Armok and requested that the alliance members form a decision making council in my absence. I will return in roughly one month from this date, possibly to join said council if they will have me. I will only login once or twice to ensure that my accounts remain active and not auto-deleted due to inactivity.

Some may say that this was unnecessary and extreme of me to do. I say that I will decide how best to handle my own mistakes and my own punishment. As such I've put myself under self imposed exile from my favorite game for the period of at least one month in the name of fairness to those I wronged last night. If my alliance requires my advice or other information from me they may reach me through this thread.

oh, for goodness sakes.  Knowing SunStorm, I doubt he would want anyone to stop playing Illy on the basis of a misunderstanding.  Granted, I didn't see the original post, but I doubt Sunny would want to see anyone hounded out of the game, or self-banished either.

Wow what 20+ plus hours can change in this world of Illy. For the record, Duuvian has always been a stand up person game wise, this was completely out of the norm for him. Though being away from the game as much as he has I can see how the wheels would have turned in his head a bit more then usual. 

With that said, it was in fact my fault for the Elemental being in the troop set sent to the tourney square. Innocent mistake on my part, as I did not realize they were not replaceable. So for my part in the mess, I send my apologies to all involved as well. Is funny being in this game as long as I have been but still only knowing such a small part of the world we all enjoy and how it can so easily swing out of control. 

I also want to send a shout out to any and all who helped keep it from blowing up any more then it did. Thanks to the cooler heads prevailing in this issue. 

To SunStorm; I don't know you but I am sorry for any misdirection of anger that was sent in towards you. 

To ChaosArmor; My friend you have fought a rough battle being with us in StA, and for my part in any of that I truly apologize. 

To Duuvian; mistakes happen to us all. Your apology is excepted and I hope you take mine in return. 

To All Members of H?; Thank you for your restraint and understanding and your continued good will towards StA.
