Duran Shadowfist Named as New Illyriad GM

   Illyriad is pleased to announce that veteran player Duran Shadowfist has been named the game’s newest GM! You will now find him in-game as GM Duran.

Duran has been playing the game for upwards of a decade and is an expert in virtually every aspect of the game. He has waged war, fielded sieges, engaged in diplomacy and statecraft, brokered global trade deals, and built copious amounts of cities. Lately, he has also led several successful player-initiated tournaments and events.

Most importantly, he is widely liked and respected in the Illy community and is ready to bring his knowledge and love of the game to a GM role. Look for Duran to be active in GC, enforce the game’s ToS, and eventually lead new event initiatives and system testing.

We, the staff at Illyriad, know that there has been a call for more moderating and consistent oversight in the game. Our goal has always been to let trust in the player base outweigh heavy regulation. That being said, with the addition of Duran and myself – both ex-players – we are working to bring trust and chat moderation into better balance for all.

	Hello Illyriad Community, I am beyond excited to share some fantastic news with you all! After 11 wonderful years of being a dedicated player in this incredible game, I am honored to announce that I am joining the Illyriad team as a Game Master. This community has been my virtual home for over a decade, and I am thrilled to take on this new role to help enhance our shared experience. As GM Duran, I will be focusing on several key areas to ensure that our game continues to be a fun, inclusive, and engaging place for everyone: Community Chat Enforcement: I will be actively monitoring and moderating both Global Chat and the Forums to ensure that they remain friendly, respectful, and welcoming spaces for all players. Our community thrives when everyone feels safe and valued, and I am committed to upholding these standards. Handling Petitions: While I will be focusing primarily on chat and forum moderation, I will also assist with petitions to the best of my ability. Your concerns and issues are important, and I will strive to address them promptly and fairly.
