It can stand to get some usability/visibility tweaks and a couple of additional summary/quick-access panels, it has some "growing pains" obviously (most of them are taken care of or being taken care of), but I think it is overall a more pleasant experience, and certainly with much more potential. Just my two cents |
I agree with this, It will just take some time for people to get used to it. Well done to all involved in making the update

In truth, the Ui2 changes are going to take quite some adjustment, for established players ,because so much of what was familar has been "improved" in one fell swoop. The joy of playing such a massive browser game was, in part, the discovery and utilisation of different themes within this game. The player as s/he went along acquired a body of knowkedge about "Illyriad" upon which they relied and thrived. Now that so much has been changed it is going to take quite some adjustment to ensure that "enjoyment" remains continous

It's too cluttered now. It's a very intimidating interface and I think it'll push new users away rather than bring them in. I've been playing the game since...Umm...whenever it says my forum account was made and I'm having a hard time figure out where things are or how to do things, imagine someone completely new to the game. I'm sure I'll get used to it but I don't like the direction they've taken it. There's too much on screen at any given time and despite all those options being right in front of me, it's still difficult to actually find them.
