Does anybody know if it is possible to remove one of your own settlements?
I created a new settlement in the wrong place so I'd like to destroy it, I don't know if in the menu there is an option to destroy it, or I have to ask another player to beseige it ![]() ![]()

Think you need to ask another player to siege it.

I wish there were an "abandon town" feature... sadly there is not. I think this has already been discussed in the game enhancements section.

I am actually against an "abandon towns" feature, although my rationale may challenge some people's perceptions of me as a reflexively defensive, newbie-loving whatever.
The main problem I see with the abandon town feature is that one could, when one's city is on the verge of being captured by another player after a hard-fought battle, simply click "Abandon Town" and deprive your enemy of his prize. This would remove city captures of active players as a game mechanic. Personally, I feel sad when a player's city is captured (even if he/she is my "enemy" in a war). However, I think it's a valid and interesting game mechanic. Perhaps if the feature were only available for 0-population towns? That would take care of the immediate "oopses." It is worthwhile to note that a 0-population town can be sieged without the use of siege engines, which saves on time. Just get someone with siege encampment studied to run their t1 cav out, and 12 hours after they arrive the city can be razed.

What if abandoning a town took time? The larger the town, the longer for it to dwindle to nothing. This might avoid depriving an enemy of their prize. |

Why not allow abandoning during an attack etc.? It would just mean the player has given up defending the town and if the town doesn't disappear right away, then the attacker still gets it. |

recall on vans would be a better tool. abandon town wouldnt mean it disappears, simply I refuse to admit ownership of this dilapidated old town and anyone who wants it is free to claim it even if its being sieged.
If the city WAS being sieged the attcking army would be able to immediately raze or capture it regardless of the pop being down to 25% of the starting number
