I was delayed releasing the update because I wanted to roll some other minor fixes and improvements in the update rather than having yet another minor update in a day or two.
But it's out now. http://illyriad.honoredsoft.com/wiki/Tool:Butler as usual. Just this once, users of the auto-updating loader will be asked to update the loader itself, even though they still get the update automatically (see the changelog for more info). very happy to hear about this fix, mister honoredmule, sir. i went back to using v.2.0 some time ago after having problems with this - notably including two embarassing incidents of personal messages accidentally sent all-alliance when i didn't notice that the cursor had jumped to that select box.

Well, it finally happened to me, so now I have the data I needed. A new version with the fix will be out in a few moments.

I believe this is actually caused by my tool, Butler. I've had very limited reports of this behavior, which I have thus far been completely unable to reproduce.
I would be most appreciative (and best able to help you) if you could do the following: Upgrade to the new version I just released today (0.3.1) and see if it still happens. If it does happen, reload the page, then immediately go to Butler's settings tab and crank the debug level all the way to "Verbose." Then go to compose a new email and wait for it to happen again. As soon as it does, copy the output from Butler's log tab into the email and send it to me in-game. (You must click the "Log" tab after the incident occurs for the appropriate output to be included.) I've unfortunately been unable to reproduce the issue in any browser myself, and would love to get to the bottom of it. The feature that's misbehaving has been hugely beneficial to myself (it automatically sets the focus when opening a new page) and for me it never incorrectly triggers on requests that aren't new page loads. But getting "send to alliance" accidentally checked is, I agree, a very serious bug. Edited by HonoredMule - 07 Sep 2011 at 20:18 |

If you don't solve the browser problem, then a quick solution would be to compose your line of text in a text editor (like Notepad), then cut+paste into the Illy chat line.

If you are using Opera; then turn the turbo feature off. When turbo is on chat, and those things you mentioned don't update. (Thats how is saves a lot of bandwidth). Usually when I want to update those things - except chat; I would open up a message or you can just turn turbo off and then refresh your browser.

This appears not an option for me as the top bar doesn't update. Neither the little green and/or purple squares showing numbers of builds, troops, diplos, vans etc update, nor does the bar below it update showing contents of storage....also doesn't change with changing of city.
Any other suggestions, hints? Ratu |

Just download Google chrome, or Opera (has some bugs, but nothing major: the turbo feature saves tons of bandwidth). Use either of these to play Illyriad on instead.
