From global chat just moments ago: [18:58]<loga> does livestock create food? [18:58]<Algamaria> no
Can this feature (like research/books) be added please.... (^_^)

| Yeah, it has little use until you end up like me with 30k cows just standing around doing nothing but passing methane all the blessed day long... (:P)

You put this in game then cows cost will go up, food prices will go up a little bit, catapult prices will go up, leather will go up...
I say leave Illyriad as it is on this mess. No point to implement something that has very little use. I mean really, who would waist one more plot just to build something to turn cows back into food. Just like books, what will it be? 1 hour per cow to make 60 food? If you want food so bad, just turn right around and sell the cows for money, then buy the food.

No, if this were made as a game function the food that is from slaughtering the cows should be more. Cows grow over time and have more food to eat off of them, so they should yield more food. Books on the other hand decrease in value because they deteriorate with age, so the research obtained is less than what it took to make the book.

Could be done on a system like books and research cost, ie. the cows give less food than they take to make in the first place, but really I do not see the point in all the programming for this. Would rather the devs spend their time on AI, advanced magic or something else.

Or at the very least use livestock as a replacement for seige blocks.
