This is what I understand ... Illy uses servers around the globe to store pieces of the game.  Each player's browser is supposed to access the "cdn" server nearest to them to get fastest response time.  The idea is to make Illy faster for everyone by not having all activity travel to a single server.

^^ I am a non-techie explaining in extremely simplistic language something that I only vaguely understand.

Its not a prob for me atm.  However, it has been a problem for me b4, I find restarting usually gets round it though.

cd9.Illyriad.com is having a huge lag in response time presently.
