Topic: Buy orders over 210k in towns Posted: 29 Aug 2012 at 13:20 |

One of the many reasons I kind of wish we could conduct trades out of the hub :/ and additional vans would also be nice. Trade V2 was no where near what many others thought it would be before it went live but it did come with a few advantages but a ton of limitations. Being able to do trades out of the hub and the possibility of more vans would ease up a lot of it.

Yes. The lack of a warning "You can't do that." and the player confusion of partial order fulfillment is why the impossible Buy/Sells are being posted on the global market. These are do-able at Hubs with Traders, but not from cities directly.

I've noticed that too. I guess that since the game doesn't give a warning when you put orders above 210k, many people believe there's no problem, or that it works like the hubs, where you can buy part of the stock.

No, it was definitely a city order, not a hub order. I even set a city buy order up myself, and that set up okay. Obviously, no one could fulfill it.

It didn't give me an option to do that, just the normal 70 vans from a city.

Using Hubs you should be able to do it though because you can have caravans from multiple cities in one hub but you can't fill it from one city.
Also, even if you do not have a trader, you do have access to various hubs within a certain radius in your city so maybe the order was from there, otherwise you and Faldrin are right, it cannot be filled.

You can make buy orders in towns of 600 K or 1200 K but noone will be able to accept them. So if you want people to accept them you need to make them maximum 210 K

Update: I just tried to fulfill an order for 600k wood, in a city (not hub) order, and it wouldn't allow me as I would need 200 vans in one go. So I'm assuming it's a glitch.

I saw something strange in the market today; there was a city with a buy order for about 600k of basic res. Not a hub order, but a city to city order. So, I tried it myself, and the order set up fine.
Is this a glitch? Otherwise, how will a buy order for an amount greater than 210k be fulfilled, city to city, with max capacity of 70 vans being 210k for basic res?
