Bravo for your response. You expressed maturity, sense and patience. After reading 'the childs' review I was mentally penning a....(to be nice) rather 'sharp' retort, referring to 'the childs': schizophrenia, immaturity, delusion, psychosis and all round generally pathetic behavior. But Taking your lead, as you can see, I have resisted the urge and will refrain from doing so.

In all seriousness, kudos sir for your sense in your response and the patience in which it was delivered. I wholeheartedly concur (as do my peers) with your reply and to borrow from my alliance members: QFT.

The quality of your response in fact has lead to POTENTIAL eligibility for your good self for Harmless (H?) membership. As a Director (plug) and Recruitment Officer I may even be able to put in a good word.

SC thank you for finally saying what needed to be said.  Unfortunately, it fell on deaf ears because people like that never feel the situation they are in is their fault.  It is always someone elses.  If you can not take accountability for your actions, then don't play social games like this.

We simply don't want to discourage people from thinking about ways to improve the game for everyone.

If someone is simply trolling then it's not worth the time to respond; but when it's in the context of a lengthy game improvement suggestion (even if it's not original, or not an improvement, or not a worthwhile trade-off vs our dev path, or simply an idea that needs more thought and discussion) then a larger response is required.

The catalyst for that particular review of Illyriad was clearly my response to a lengthy post in this "Suggestions & Game Enhancements" forum, and that's therefore a different thing from pure trollage - which we are expert at spotting.  We also acknowledge previous contributions to the forums and the gameworld as good reasons for providing a fuller response to someone who's obviously fed up and is leaving the game (for whatever reasons); and we're always interested in whatever people have to say about the game whether we agree with it or not.
