How is a large alliance full of powerful players a problem in the game?

I would argue that if this idea went ahead in the game, big alliances would most likely get special weapons/ resources/units and then they would dominate the game even more, so really you have suggested a way of adding to the games problems instead of removing them. However I will add that if you can find a suitable way of fixing these problems then I think it would a very good idea. All the best, Lord Loss

I think this idea has been suggested multiple times in different form but how about rather than fighting over mines we fight over temples, Each temple provides identical benifits but of differing quantity. Only one of the temples held by an alliance may be active at one time defaulting to the most valuable.
Finally the lowest value temples only benifit players under 10K, low temples 20K medium, 50K higher any pop. That way H? curse etc. would have little reason to attempt to gain control of anything but the highest level temples and allow small alliances to join in.
In regards to the discussion on siege I reciently suggested that siege should be nerfed so that players can only ever loose a good portion of their town. Namely barracks, consulate, mage tower, walls, marketplace etc. But never loose any basic production structures or advanced resource production.
This is still about a month or two damage to your town but I would consider it an acceptable risk and is still high enough that seeking diplomatic resolution is still preferable.

mysteries are nice an all... But how to deal whit PvP frictions? How to solve beef between players and alliances? the possibility to give "conditions" to wars as function in game will ever be considerate?

I think you'd be very mistaken to look at an existing mystery or two and think that this is the entire compass of the mysteries to come. Mysteries (and factions, and future resource gathering for crafting purposes, and many other things) will all provide opportunities for PvP friction. Resource scarcity is a great casus belli. SC

1+ I think the meaning of these mines would be create reason for conflict. And also cool stuff for their owners I hope. Its not that people can not fight as it is now. Reason for lack of conflict in the game is that at the moment there little to gain from war with out destroying the other party.
Although there should be this kind of mines where you get something that you cannot gain from your own city for yourself or your alliance. But also there should be factions that have these similar properties. That you could only trade with the factions to get it or do special missions to factions. Some of them might trade only with peaceful players.
I have been hoping that factions, crafting and trade v.2 will eventually bring something like this too.

But the tournament flags are still functioning as during the tourney. What might need to be added would just be a reporting page to show flag status, like it was shown during the tourney. Maybe allowing a player to reserve a block of time for a tourney, and collect stats from it. The sponsors or participants could even put up rewards for the various winners, similar to an escrow.

Returning to the original theme of the thread.
@ Kil & Torn: The issue here is enabling the 'war' aspect without threatening terminal loss of a hard earnt city. Having a 'mine' (equiv to a tourney flag) to fight over is a suggestion worth exploring as it enables the conflict aspect of the game without risk of permanent loss.
Would LOVE to hear Dev feedback.
