I'll take that as a compliment. As in "I love you as much as I love bacon" type of compliment...

I feel their needs to be a new host for the next tournament. Your job was to pick players close enough and make sure the players would be able to compete. You failed at both of them.
72 hours could be better, but it still will not help when you have players MUCH closer to the square.
Again, I do not have confidence in you picking a square or picking the right types of people for the next tournament. So count me out, if you host another... | Not sure what you are on but you need to stop taking it, step back and reread the first few pages of this thread:1) Entry to the tournament was voluntary and the competitors were accepted on a first come first served basis.2) It was stated that this would be a SW region tournament and that people outside that region would have a harder time.3) The square was picked using a random number generator. You need to apologize to Nory for your BS post and then you need to stop whining. |
I am not whining, I am just stating the most obvious. I am not apologizing for what I said since it is a fact. SO AGAIN I WILL NOT APOLOGIZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
b***h fight?
anyway calm down, dont like the tourny, ok you've complained now leave(and I doubt we would've heard so much of a moan if you actually won anything)
and I thought for a player run tounry in such a small comunity it was quite well done, no cheating or bugs that they could control well done Grunk

I don't think there was any issue with duuvian playing.
Also, Lionz? What is your problem? If you didn't like the tournament, thats fine. I did it because noone else was doing it. Because I thought it was something people would enjoy. If you didn't enjoy it, that's okay - you certainly don't have to participate in the next one.
But if you're going to complain about my hosting, why don't you man up and take the job yourself, and you can implement all your (outrageously stupid and/or incredibly more work than I'm willing to put into this) suggestions? Then we can all see how well it works, and learn a little bit more about what is and isn't a good idea.
This is baby steps, faltering first attempts, and if you've got ideas I urge you to put them into practice and host your own tournament, and I'm more than happy to learn from other.
Because if you don't want me to host the next tournament, there's one pretty damn easy way to stop it.

I could have sworn that Noryasha let people join voluntarily, and specifically said that you would find it harder to compete if you were from a different part of the map.
As far as the host goes, there probably should be no one competing from the hosts alliance to avoid criticism that the host gave an unfair advantage to their alliance member.
And then there's the placement of the tournament square...
The best option would be to have it picked by the GMs, but as they wish to keep out of the tournaments as much as possible... We are going to have to trust the person who chooses the spot, which is impossible it seems in this game.
